Unannounced Suicide Squad Game ‘Cancelled’
Warner Brothers Montreal was rumoured to have been working on a Suicide Squad game to tie-in with the movie but this has recently been announced as a cancelled project in order to focus on another Batman game featuring Damian Wayne.
Apparently, WB Montreal had been working on the Suicide Squad title for two years, hoping to release it alongside the movie but nothing had ever been confirmed, although their last game Batman: Arkham Origins hinted at the possibility alongside Blackgate Origins, which also teased Suicide Squad was next on the agenda.
The cancellation could be due to a rocky path that WB has followed since the release of Batman: Arkham Origins, including it’s head Martin Carrier and executive producer Reid Schneider whom both had left earlier this year.
How do you feel about the cancellation of Suicide Squad? Did you even know it was being developed? Another Batman game can’t be all bad though, can it? We’d be happy to hear your thoughts and opinions in the comments below.
