SMITE Spin-Off Hand Of The Gods Coming To Consoles

Hand of the Gods

To Be Fair, Yu-Gi-Oh Did God Cards First

Hey guys, do you like SMITE? Do you like card based tactics games? Don’t you wish the two of them would come together in holy matrimony/unholy alchemy? It’s an awfully specific request, but Hi-Rez Studios have got you covered!

Hi-Rez Studios, the developers of SMITE and Paladins, have revealed that their latest venture, Hand of the Gods: SMITE Tactics, will be coming to consoles sometime soon. Like their previous games, Hand of the Gods will be free to play but players can spend real money to unlock Founder’s Packs and such. If you do choose to purchase a Founder’s Pack, you’ll also unlock the Enyo Bellona skin in SMITE, so that’s nice.

The game itself is a strategic card game utilising the pantheons of Gods from SMITE. Players pick gods to be the leader of their deck and draw cards to attack and defend themselves from their opponent. Hand of the Gods has been played on PC since last year as art of closed beta testing, but went into open beta testing last month. Its roll-out onto consoles will follow the same structure, before launching in full sometime later.

What do you think about Hand of the Gods: SMITE Tactics? Would you be interested in playing it? Check out the reveal trailer and sound off in the comments!
