Rumour: Is Diablo III The Next Free Play Days Title?

Diablo III

Free Play Days is a great little promotion that allows for players to try out a game for a couple of days with no strings attached, and it would appear that the next game in line is Diablo III, if the Xbox Store is to be believed.

Take this with a pinch of salt for now, as nothing has been confirmed, but the Xbox Store currently lists Diablo III: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition (such a wordy title) as part of the Free Play Days promotion.

The next game in the promotion being labelled as such before any official announcement isn’t uncommon. Most of the previous games have had similar leaks to this one. Furthermore, it’s common practice for the game going free to also be available at a discounted price. Lastly, December 31st marks the 20 year anniversary since Diablo 1 was released, and Blizzard are celebrating it across all their titles and platforms. Maybe a Free Play Day factors in to their plans…

Of course, this could just be nothing. The Xbox Store has been known to list random games as “Better with EA Access”, so maybe this is another glitch. In any case, let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
