Dress Up For The Pumpkin Ball In Gears Of War 4

gears-4-halloween

We’re starting to see an abundance of games celebrating special occasions, allowing you to acquire limited-time gear or take part in special events. Gears of War 4 is the next title to adopt this feature. So to celebrate the spooky tradition that is Halloween, Gears of War 4 are hosting their first limited-time event – Pumpkin Ball.

Pumpkin Ball is basically the Dodgeball mode in the playlist, with some slight changes to speed up the game. Respawn timers have been reduced to just 1 second and respawn protection is much shorter. You’ll notice pumpkin heads make an appearance, replacing your regular heads and adding bonus XP rewards into the mix, making it more of a treat than a trick.

They have also changed up the social style playlist, giving you the maps most relatable to Halloween:

  • Fallout
  • Forge
  • Harbor
  • Impact
  • Lift

They’ve also included a Halloween Gear Pack as a special variant of the Elite Gear Pack, so you are guaranteed at least one Epic or Legendary card, with the latter containing exclusive items from the Day of the Dead Legendary Collection. You don’t have long though because as soon as November hits us, this special pack will be removed.

The playlists and Gear Pack are live now and you can find the Pumpkin Ball under the ‘Events’ category in the Versus menu.

Are you going to take part in this event or will you stick to the regular playlists? We would be happy to hear your thoughts and opinions in the comments below.
