A Guided Tour With The Developers Of Prey

Prey Demo

If you can’t wait until it’s release date on the 5th May, (click here to pre-order from Amazon) or you needed encouragement to get excited about the release of Prey then the newest trailer, “A Guided Tour of Talos I) may whet your appetite.

The trailer with its commentary from some of the game developers, producers and designers shows us around the setting for Prey, the Space Station Talos I. With its decadent decor and show off facilities it’s certainly not what you would expect from a space station. Taking control of test subject Morgan Yu, Prey sees you exploring numerous different areas from  the industrial, the inner workings of the space station to the offices,  bedrooms, lounges, kitchens and secret areas such as labs that the company were trying to keep under wraps.

We are told each area is very different and there is a lot to explore with lots of levels and you can even explore outside in zero gravity. The Typhon aliens who you face have not long escaped confinement which means there are still humans around and not all is destroyed by the alien invasion. From what the developers say in the trailer regarding there being more to explore and combat than just the aliens, it sounds like we can expect a game with more depth than a simple shoot ’em up.
