In August, Xbox One Call of Duty fans will get their hands on Infinite Warfare's next DLC called Absolution.  Absolution is following suit with other DLC packs giving players new maps and a re-imagined map from games prior in the series.  There will also be another addition to the Zombies mode as well. The new multiplayer maps include 'Fore' which takes place on a mini golf course of all things, the frozen inner city locale of 'Permafrost', 'Bermuda' which is an ocean front shanty town, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 map 'Resistance', re-imagined as a new map named ... Last December presented somewhat of a terrible experience for yours truly. I had to suffer the indignity of observing one of my favourite franchises commit figurative “bed-soiling”, resulting in a damaged legacy for the foreseeable future. I am referring, of course, to Dead Rising 4. For a game supposedly heading back to its roots, Dead Rising 4 was practically unrecognisable when compared to every other game in the series. Whilst that was good in some cases (DR 4 offered the best gameplay engine and combat of the whole series), something was missing. There was no charm, no soul; mowing down ... Read More »
It's been nearly three years since the release of one of the best zombie games of current generation, Dying Light, but it appears that the developers Techland aren't finished with the game yet. Techland CEO Paweł Marchewka has stated that fans have been clamouring for some new Dying Light content, and the team at Techland are only too happy to oblige. Not only that, but all the future content will be available free of charge! "In the face of such enthusiasm and engagement, we cannot keep quiet. Today I’m happy to announce Techland’s continuous support for Dying Light. Original content is already ... Read More »
Anyone remember Fortnite, the zombie survival game that Epic Games revealed in 2011? It was a blend of four player horde and fortress construction that looked cool but seemed to disappear as quickly as it came. Turns out, it's still kicking, and it's out next month. In a new gameplay trailer revealed in the run-up to E3, Fortnite shows off that same core concept, and how building your own outposts will help you conquer those pesky undead hordes, whether that shelter be a simple fort in the woods or a giant skull fortress with traps everywhere. Your imagination appears to ... Read More »
It's been a long and bumpy road for Dead Island 2 since its E3 reveal way back in 2014. However, Deep Silver have now spoken out and confirmed that the title is still in development whilst speaking to Eurogamer. Since the announcement four years ago, there has been a change of developer as Yager departed amid differing visions of the game with Deep Silver. Sumo Digital were put in charge of delivering the next installment in the series in March 2016 and this is the last we have heard of the games development. Eurogamer took Deep Silver to task and ... Dead Rising 4 is set to be released next month and fans of the zombie slaying genre are getting very excited indeed. Why shouldn't they? An uncountable number of zombies to kill, incredible weapons to craft and more gore than you can shake a very bloody stick at, what more can you ask for? All of this is something that we have come to expect from a Dead Rising game but there is one thing missing that fans may well mourn. This latest installment of the Dead Rising franchise will be without a Co-op campaign. In past games we have ... Read More »
If modern gaming has revealed anything, it's that a game doesn't need to be out before we start talking about the DLC. Dead Rising 4 appears to be no exception, with the Season Pass now available pre-order as part of the Deluxe Edition of the game. The list includes 3 DLC packs, though whether there'll be more remains to be seen. The first, and seemingly least significant bit of DLC is the Stocking Stuffer Holiday Pack, which includes a range of festive themed weapons, zombies, vehicles and costumes. The second pack is perhaps the strangest pack, known as Super Ultra ... Read More »
If you ask any gamer out there, any real gamer, if they fancy killing some zombies then the answer is almost definitely a yes - possibly a HELL YEAH. So when we got the chance to try out such a game we jumped at the chance. It was time to fire up #killallzombies and make sure the dead stay dead. The aim of the game is obvious; you face relentless waves of crazed zombies that want nothing more than to give you a nibble or two (and not the loving kind of nibble either). You must survive each wave by shooting and ... Read More »
Two minutes after booting up Dead Rising 1 for the first time in years, and the wave of nostalgia is flowing through me like the blood that courses through my veins. Before the pilot can even start his lines, I'm talking to my TV about Willamette, Colorado having a population of 53,594 and that the only thing to do in that town is kill time at the shopping mall. After about an hour, all the old tips and tricks are coming back. The hidden katana and uzi in the Paradise Plaza, the extra PP to be gained from destroying the plates ... Read More »
