Phil Spencer has just announced several studios coming under the Microsoft wing. Compulsion Games, creators of we Happy Few is one of them. For several years now the game has been in the preview program and now it has finally reached it’s final state. Upon launch Sea of Thieves received a lot of criticism for it’s lack of content. recently Rare have gone some way to fix this and they have just announced that they have a large roadmap for the game. Coming soon will be a whole new land, the Forsaken Land. Here you will meet an awakened evil spirit. the skeleton crews will also rise in their skeletal ship. We’ve known the new entry in the Kingdom Hearts series has been approaching for some time now, but now we have gotten a coser look at what we can expect from the beloved JRPG. The stand out addition in the trailer is the inclusion of Frozen characters Elsa and Anna, the titular Wreck-it-Ralph, alongside Tangled‘s golden-haired princess. Familiar faces Hercules, Donald, and Goofy also make appearances. The recently announced but never before revealed Fallout 76 from Bethesda was just now shown off for the first time. Set in a time before the other games in the franchise you are one of the first to emerge from Vault 76 into an untamed wasteland. From the brief trailer we can see that the world is bleaker than ever, but it is also far more expansive. According to Bethesda the game world will be four times the size of that in fallout 4. Microsoft opened their 2018 conference with a bang with the unveil of Halo: Infinite, the first of over fifty games promised by Xbox head Phil Spencer. Though we never saw much of the gameplay as of yet, Spencer stated that, in the latest iteration of the series, we will “join Master Chief on his greatest adventure yet to save humanity”. Given this is not a numbered sequel, it’s hard to tell how Infinite will be incorporated into the overarching narrative of the long-running series. Battle Royale games are taking the world by force and it’s no shock that since Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is going to have a battle royale mode that Battlefield V will as well. There is no mention on if it will be the 100 player experience so many are used to however. EA did state though that the mode will utilize team play, vehicles, and destruction for an experience they claim you haven’t gotten before in Battlefield or any other game. The E3 conferences have started and it was all kicked off with the EA conference. The finale of the conference was centered around the upcoming action RPG from Bioware, Anthem. This is the first time that we have been given the chance to see some real in-depth gameplay, even if that gameplay and the chat over it was very scripted. We got to see several of the Javelins, the power armour that your Freelancer wears, in action and they look to change the way you play dramatically.
