Major Nelson has let slip the next batch of free games for August for Xbox Live Gold members. First up for Xbox One we have the obscure looking life simulator, Slime Rancher. And for Xbox 360, the critically acclaimed Bayonetta debuts at the start of the month, followed by the action packed sequel, Red Faction: Armegeddon. https://twitter.com/majornelson/status/889863373726330880 What are your thoughts on the latest games with gold? ... Xbox fans have been asking for a way to give some more personality and customization to how they look online and it's coming soon.  During the official Xbox podcast, Major Nelson Radio, Larry Hryb said that team is looking to give players the ability to create custom gamerpics.  This feature, as per Xbox's Mike Ybarra, is aimed for a release prior to E3 2017.  Unfortunately this won't be part of the Creator's Update that is rolling out now for Insider's now.  There was a cause for delay for this feature possibly due to the unpredictability of what some inappropriate images ... Xbox's Major Nelson has today revealed the line up for February's Games with Gold via Twitter, and it's shaping up to be a decent month of freebies! For Xbox One we have Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime. With respectably high scores on Metacritic ,they billed this oddly named title as a two-player micro platformer where you are bound within a neon spaceship. Not your cup of tea? Then how about the highly rated Project Cars! This will be available from the second half of the month. Backward compatible and 360 fans are also in for a treat during February. For the first two ... Over on Reddit there is a ton of talk about third party dealers handing out a phony Xbox Live 12-month gold membership code.  This code doesn't appear to add anything to your membership and never shows as used or expired.  The biggest concern is that now it appears to be getting Microsoft's attention and they are swinging the ban hammer and banning accounts.  Please be careful on where you are getting your Xbox Live subscriptions from.  The code in question is below: WCGVB-P24CQ-C629T-7B9DY-X4W33 If you get this code from anywhere - DO NOT USE IT!!!! Hopefully Microsoft can help those who ... Read More »
So earlier (here) we covered the best console deals that we'd seen up until that point. This time around it's the turn of the games and add ons such as Live subscriptions. Titanfall 2 - £19.99 - HMV No that isn't a typo, if there's a HMV near you that you've not yet visited then get down there ASAP as this deal is only available in store and while stocks last. Short of that head on over to Amazon where you can nab a copy for £28, which while isn't quite as impressive as HMV's £19.99 it's still a monster saving ... Read More »
