The new World Rally Championship game is set to become an eSport in 2016. Yes, from the start of the official 2016 WRC season in January, competitive gamers will take part in their own championship using WRC 5, which is set for release on 16 October. Developer Kylotonn Games and publisher Bigben Interactive announced yesterday that WRC 5 will release between 9th October 2015 and 16th October depending on your geographic location. Listings for WRC 5 in the UK currently peg 16th October. Touted as the first rally game to land on new-generation consoles - though the game will also drive out on Xbox 360 and other formats - players will be given the opportunity to race as all current WRC, WRC 2, WRC 3 and Junior WRC drivers.
