Bungie held one of their “ride along” streams over on Twitch and gave viewers an in depth look at why we have the mechanics that are in the wrath of the Machine raid and the stories from the creators.  Destiny’s newest and only raid over the last year has had a ton of secrets that have provided guardians tons of loot and dangerous encounters.  Hosted by Destiny community manager Deej, Raid Project Owner Joe Blackburn and Environmental Artist Rusty Derbin provided the guided tour as Bungie’s own raid team took on the Heroic mode of the Wrath of the Machine … Read More »

With this morning’s weekly reset in Destiny, guardians have now been faced with the Aksis challenge mode for the Wrath of the Machine raid.  This is a way to earn some extra high level raid gear by completing an extra mechanic in a particular boss fight. Here is how to complete this week’s challenge. This challenge is of course against Aksis but it only affects the second phase of the fight.  The fight begins as normal with taking out the Shanks and staying alive.  When you Captains come out and your team becomes empowered, spread out to the sides and … Read More »

UPDATE: The Vosik challenge is to activate all 4 rooms using SIVA charges.  Pretty simple but it appears all 4 rooms have to be used. It’s time to put your big boy, or girl, pants on guardians and take the fight again to the Wrath of the Machine raid.  Challenge mode is now live with the first being the Vosik fight.  What exactly the rewards are and what the challenge is we don’t know yet but will update when we get more info.  Early reports on Reddit are that you have to throw and hit Vosik with all the SIVA charges however … Read More »

It’s been a year since the last time guardians have been able to explore somewhere new in the world of Destiny.  Destiny: Rise of Iron breathes some much needed life into Bungie’s open world shooter.  With new quests, loot to find, and places to explore, is it enough to bring back players that left due to a lack of content through Destiny’s second year, as well as keep active players entertained?  In the short form, yes.  The real question is – for how long? In Destiny: Rise of Iron, guardians are faced with the newest threat – SIVA.  SIVA is a … Read More »

First off is Destiny’s light level cap – When Rise of Iron launches, guardians will have their light level cap raised to 385 and then when the hard mode version of the new raid which is called “Wrath of the Machine” will cap out at 400.  An earlier article here, we speculated that this would be the cap and it’s nice that Bungie has confirmed it as well. Guardians will also see the return of events such as Festival of the Lost and Sparrow Racing league in October and December respectively.  From the way Bungie explained it to Game Informer, … Read More »
