That Watch Dogs 2 got made at all still raises an eyebrow. That it's such a great game - overcoming all its predecessor's many flaws - is even more surprising. But we can't help wonder if the incredible hype and subsequent disappointment of the first game has hurt sales of the sequel. After all, once bitten, twice shy. What better way, then, to tempt doubters back to the franchise than by offering a free trial? Ubisoft agrees, it seems. According to the official Ubisoft blog, a free three-hour trial of the full game will be available for download starting 24th January 2017. ... Read More »

Futuristic FPS Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare has topped the UK charts to become the number one game sold before Christmas. Whatever you think about the game, it goes to show that the Call of Duty brand is still a strong and powerful player in the games market – and it’s a no-brainer that it was going to be number one for the holiday season, when you combine that power with cheap deals. Good news, too, for that perennial of the charts, GTAV, which crept past the 6 million mark for UK sales. As usual, it still features in both ... Read More »
Is Watch Dogs 2 a hack job, or has Ubisoft learnt from their techno-mistakes with the original? It's important, because love it, loathe it or 'meh' it, Watch Dogs was one of the most controversial titles of this generation of console, falling from the reveal hype high to the savagely disappointed lows of its release. So when we were faced with the sequel, we felt particularly cautious, while others were openly dismissive. The negative vibe was evident from the get-go: Ubisoft had a job on their hands to get Watch Dogs 2 back on the map - not only to generate interest, but to ... Read More »
The latest all format charts have today been released, which has seen a very respectable entry for Watch Dogs 2, at number two. But so far, Dedsec have failed to infiltrate the number one position. Holding top spot, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare continues to dominate in sales. Mostly no doubt down to the legacy edition which features a remaster of Modern Warfare. A large number of pre Black Friday discounts could also have helped the next installment in the franchise retain top position. A respectable entry for Assassins Creed: The Ezio Collection, which only released on Friday, enters at ... Read More »
UPDATE: After this story was published we checked Watch Dogs 2 post patch and found that Ubisoft did NOT patch out the Vagina in question and confirmed on twitter that Sony has lifted Swizzasaur's ban. UK Twitter user Swizzasaur, real name Adam, received his copy earlier than the official UK release date and so had the opportunity to explore the streets of San Francisco before the masses. Upon his travels around the technological wonderland ... Read More »
