Skaven Hunters! How would you like to take it to the vermin menace on a snow-capped mountain range complete with a hidden dwarf fortress? Of course you do, you're only human! Developers Fatshark have finally announced via the below tweet the console release date for the first (at least on Xbox) piece of DLC for co-op slasher Warhammer: The End Times - Vermintide. COMING FEB 28 - @VermintideGame's latest DLC 'Karak Azgaraz' and the awaited FREE 'Quests & Contracts' DLC - both for #PS4 & #XboxOne pic.twitter.com/bOxYge7mLS — Warhammer Vermintide (@VermintideGame) January 11, 2017 Entitled "Karak Azgaraz", the DLC sees ... Here's a sobering thought for you all: the Doomsday Clock currently sits at 3 minutes to midnight, and it doesn't look like we'll be turning back time in the near future. If it's not the tension regarding Syria, nuclear weapons testing in North Korea or unchecked climate change that'll do us in, it'll be the frigging killer clowns. Seriously, what the hell world?! But, if the world is going to end, what form will it take? Will humanity live on post-reckoning? How will we get our jollies in an apocalyptic wasteland? Here are 6 games on Xbox One that show ... In our review for Warhammer: The End Times - Vermintide, we hoped there would be more support for the game down the line. Looks like our wish just got granted! Developers Fatshark Games just dropped the new trailer for the DLC pack Karak Azgaraz. Try saying it 3 times fast for more points. The trailer shows the Skaven invading the titular Dwarfen fortress, located in the snow covered Grey Mountains. The pack amounts to 3 new levels of Skaven murdering fun times, and 2 completely new weapons: a Warpick for the Dwarf Ranger and a Falchion for the Witch Hunter. ... Read More »
You could tell me that Vermintide started life as a Left 4 Dead mod; I'd believe you. 4 survivors of an apocalypse fighting a horde-like enemy called the Skaven (zombies), dogged at every turn by unique monsters designed to pick you off one by one. You've got your Gutter Runner (hunter), Pack Master (smoker/jockey), Poison Wind Globadier (spitter/boomer), Stormvermin (armoured horde) and the Rat Ogre (tank). We're a charger and a witch away from a full set. Warhammer: The End Times - Vermintide, to give it its full title, is a first person co-operative action game with an emphasis on ... Read More »
Vermintide, or to give this battler its full title Warhammer - The End Times: Vermintide, lets you team up with three friends and work together to thin out Skaven forces and drive them out of the city. You will assume the role of one of five heroes, and hack, slash, smash, burn and pierce the vile ratmen using a multitude of weapons. Set in the Warhammer realm, this first person hack n' slasher promises to be bloody, brutal and - if the brand new trailer is anything to go by - tons of fun. The game offers drop-in drop-out co-operative multiplayer for up to four ... Read More »
Warhammer Vermintide has been a bit of a hit on Steam since it originally released in October of 2015. Scoring top marks across many different opinion aficionado's, I've also had a bit of playtime on the PC version after my first attraction to it at the EGX Rezzed event back in April (and tried to get information on the upcoming console version!). In its' simplest terms, it's Left 4 Dead in the Warhammer universe; with an RPG element of gear and varying difficulties, with a few different classes to play to boot. A more formal description though: Vermintide is a four ... Read More »
The (End) Time(s) is near for Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide to move over to consoles - yeah, that pun was a little tougher to pull off than I thought. But with over half a million copies sold on the PC platform alone, you may be wondering why game developer Fatshark hasn't jumped over to the platform already, especially since it's been out for 6 months now. But there are good reasons for the delay. Firstly, Fatshark is a small developer based in Sweden (not that the country has anything to do with it!) and so creating the game everyone who ...
