Rise of Tomb Raider has been huge for Xbox with its timed exclusive contract, now the first of many DLC Baba Yaga has been given an official release date of January 26th, it will be the first story driven DLC for this title. Baba Yaga is set to contain hours of brand new gameplay, expanding the main story even further with Lara facing down this new adversary. Yesterday Square Enix’s blog was updated with patch notes for patch 2. Rise of The Tomb Raider launched at a time where many other high profile games were released, as shown in an article we released earlier in the week, and in that kind of position it’s difficult to make big sales numbers. Whilst browsing the Rise of The Tomb Raider forums Brian Horton, The Game Director for the title, has had to once more defend the sales of the game. Many fans are displeased with the sales figures for the recently released title, as well as the the Microsoft exclusivity. VGChartz estimates sales in the first week to number around 301,000 units worldwide, with the majority of these sales attributed to the current gen Xbox console.
