If there was ever a game I have fond memories of, it's that of the Burnout series. Specifically that of the Crash Mode where you would be given roads and intersections for you to create the most destruction from smashing into other vehicles. But what made this the most fun, was the inclusion of a feature called 'Smashbreaker' which allowed you to initially build it up by wrecking a required amount of vehicles and then unleashing all fury with an explosion from your car, allowing you to manoeuvre about mid-destruction in order to wreck even more vehicles. When the developers of Danger Zone first announced they were releasing the game, they stated that it would be across all platforms. Then that changed and out of nowhere, they said it would not be released on Xbox One. EA and Criterion still own the rights to the franchise, but haven't expressed any real desire to expand the series in ... Read More »
You ever felt like golf just wasn't exciting enough for you? Maybe you think the action on the links could use a little more... explosions... Seems like the team at Three Fields Entertainment would agree with you, as they've just announced Dangerous Golf. It's golf... with danger. Coming to the Xbox in May, the game will feature over a hundred "holes", but the focus isn't on making birdies and shooting the lowest score. No, the focus here is causing as much destruction as possible across locations such as gas stations, ballrooms and a hotel kitchen. A varied lot, then. If you ... Read More »
We have some great news for fans of the Burnout series. Three Fields Entertainment have teased fans with a couple of tweets that imply that a spiritual successor to the popular series could soon be in the works. Three Fields Entertainment is a small studio based in the UK. It was set up last year by Alex Ward and Fiona Sperry, the original founders of Criterion. They sent out two tweets in the last week that made some promises to fans of the Burnout series who aren't particularly attached to the name. They started off talking about the projects they ...
