Telltale’s games force you to make tough choices, and choices have rarely been tougher than those faced by the titular Caped Crusader in Batman – The Telltale Series – Episode 1: Realm of Shadows. Batman, and his billionaire alter-ego Bruce Wayne, has always been more intriguing and complex than his contemporaries, and this complexity should play to Telltale’s strengths. Here, Realm of Shadows sets up a story that interweaves politics and relationships – the relationships between Batman and the bad guys, Bruce Wayne and the supporting cast, and – perhaps most interestingly  – Batman and Bruce Wayne. With such rich lore and complex characters, … Read More »

Telltale’s Minecraft: Story Mode has almost come to an end, unless the studio decides to release a few more episodes, as they did after the initial five-episode run of the original tale. Now, the penultimate 7th episode, entitled ‘Access Denied’, finally has a release date – and there’s a mercifully short wait until it’s out. Usually, with episodic games, it can feel like you’re waiting half-a-year for the next instalment, but the ‘Access Denied’ episode will be coming to Xbox One on Tuesday 26th July. That’s just under two months since the last episode was released, meaning fans can dive … Read More »

Published by Telltale Publishing and developed by The Fun Pimps, 7 Days to Die is an open-world first-person zombie survival game. Think State of Decay meets ARK: Survival Evolved and you’re on the right track, with its combat, crafting, looting, mining, exploration and character growth, and only a single objective: Survive. The resource-rich environment is vast, and entirely unique, it’s a good job it does have so many resources, too, since without that, there would be no way to complete that main objective; you’d be a lamb to the inelegant slaughter. This is a true role-playing game, whereby you’ll level … Read More »

Telltale’s head of creative communications, Job Stauffer, has clarified the comments on Twitter. Telltale still aims to release every episode by the end of the year, but it won’t sacrifice quality to meet that goal. This is a minor misquote. Certainly 'aiming to' have all 5 by 12/31. We develop live, so bear with us on Ep 5 in Dec https://t.co/rakHxjsjn0 — Job J Stauffer (@jobjstauffer) June 24, 2016 Also Job stated on Twitter: @DrewM987 @MatPaget we're committed to a solid cadence of great content, but having the best content is priority. We'll work our hardest! — Job J Stauffer … Read More »

Telltale Games, with their vast catalogue of narrative-driven games, have confirmed that they’ll be porting all of their games over to the Windows Store – and the reason may surprise you. Turns out the arrival of their choice-based games is all thanks to the Universal Windows Platform, a platform that allows developers to code just once, allowing games to be played on desktop, mobile and console. The studio ported their engine to UWP – which means that any game running on that engine (i.e. all of them) are automatically ported too. According to Telltale’s VP of Tech, Zac Litton… We … Read More »
