Tekken is one of the all time classics in the fighting game genre and rightfully so. Early 2017 feels like an age away, especially when you’re super looking forward to the next instalment in the saga of the Mishima Zaibatsu: Tekken 7. Luckily, we have events like Gamescom to shower us with new details and gameplay footage, and Tekken 7 was no exception. During the Evolution 2016 Fighting Game Championships, Tekken 7 director Katsuhiro Harada showed off two characters that were yet to be revealed to the public for the upcoming fighting game.  Returning from Tekken 6 is Bob, the lovable heavy set free form karate master.  His character image stays very true to form with his Hawaiian shirt and ripped jeans.  It appears that Tekken fans will be very familiar with Bob’s style carrying over from previous titles.  Check the image below of Bob’s new style Fans attending the fighting game tournament were happy to see a returning face but were also … Read More »

It’s a good time to be a fighting game fan on the Xbox One. Namco Bandai and fighting game legend Katsuhiro Harada took to the stage at Microsoft’s E3 briefing to show off Tekken 7 on Xbox One. Showcasing what appeared to be a Story Mode battle between guest character Akuma and mainstay Heihachi Mishima, we see both an awesome cutscene and a battle between the two icons. The game will be releasing in Early 2017, and will be up-to-date with the current Japanese arcade version, Fated Retribution. For you all you fighting game fans waiting for the next chapter of the Mishima Zaibatsu to finally come to Xbox One… You’re still gonna be waiting a while. But we do have a new trailer. So there’s that. In this trailer, we see some more from Akuma, showing off more unsuspecting victims being devastated by his Raging Demon attack. The gaming world went a little bit nuts over the weekend, as a new trailer dropped for Tekken 7: Fated Retribution, and with it, both the firm confirmation of a console release, and the reveal of Akuma from Street Fighter as a guest character. With some questions still remaining, Tekken 7 Director and Producer Katsuhiro Harada took to Twitter to provide some more answers. Firstly, he confirmed that the consoles would receive the latest version of the game available, but didn’t confirm whether that would be Fated Retribution or another title entirely. Fan favourite brawler Tekken 7 has been in Japanese arcades since February, but we’ve all been waiting patiently for a console release, and finally it looks like Bandai Namco are gearing up for an announcement… In a post on their Facebook page, a new video has been unveiled celebrating 20 years of the Tekken franchise, along with revealing some new footage of Tekken 7.
