We have all either done it or had it done to us. There have even been studies on it.  The rage quit. Bandai Namco wants to ensure that rage-quitting is something that isn't possible in the latest edition of it's fighting title, Tekken 7. "How will they manage that?" you ask. It's something that the game designers have been thinking long and hard about, as confirmed by Katsuhiro Harada in a recent interview with Gamespot. "You can't keep someone from physically pulling out the LAN cable, so the only thing you can do is make them not want to do that by ... Read More »
It is currently a fantastic time to be a fighting game fan. Capcom recently announced the release daate for Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite (September 19th, by the way), Injustice 2 is a mere three weeks away, and BANDAI NAMCO have dropped a whole bunch of new footage for Tekken 7. Like I said, it's a fantastic time. The first video is a character trailer showing off combos for characters like Law, Devil Jin and Hwoarang, alongside new characters like Gigas and Katarina. Each characters showcases their special move and combos better than anything I could ever pull off, and we've ... Read More »
Bandai Namco have officially announced the post launch content for the much anticipated fighter Tekken 7, which will include the addition of two more guest characters.  Joining Akuma, these unannounced guest characters will be available as part of the season pass and will include a new stage and new costumes related to the character in question, and will be released later this year and early next year respectively. In the meantime, more than 50 costumes will be released in the summer. Of course, this news has sent Xbox One UK (me) into speculation overload. The easy guess would be another ... Read More »
The wait may be a long and grueling road till the release of Tekken 7, scheduled currently for June 2nd. But we are getting more and more from the game in terms of trailers. The latest featuring pre-order fighter, Eliza. As well as this, Tekken 7 has joined the line up for Evo 2017. Eliza comes in the guise of a dark vampire with abilities including the summoning of supernatural powers to launch projectiles at her opponent, or, oddly, she can just drop to the floor and fall asleep. But enough of the talk, check out the gameplay trailer below: ... Read More »
Man, 2017 looks to be a promising year for fighting games! Despite promising early 2017 during the E3 story reveal, Bandai Namco have revealed that Tekken 7 will release worldwide on June 2nd 2017, stating on the TEKKEN Facebook page that the delay was to ensure that Tekken 7 is the most complete fighting game of this generation. Injustice 2 might have something to say about that, but still. The release date was revealed in an accompanying story trailer which gave us even more of a taste between the conflict between Heihachi and his son Kazuya, asking what drives your ambition: ... With the ever expanding presence of camera phones and the internet, leaks happen.  It looks like someone from Gamestop may have snapped an image showing what might be the release date for Tekken 7.  Tekken 7 has been in arcades since 2015 but may be launching on 28 May 2017.  That isn't very far away so it would be nice to get the next title in the classic fighting game franchise.  The leaked image is below and as someone who did nice work at a Gamestop does match the inventory system.  Is the image completely legit though we don't know.  We will ... It was announced last month that Bandai Namco and New Japan Pro Wrestling would be joining forces for the upcoming Tekken 7, showing off a new King outfit based on the NJPW Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada. Turns out, the deal extends even further than that. A new trailer has revealed outfits for Bryan and Jack, showing them adorned in Bullet Club swag. If you don't know who Bullet Club are, they're a prominent wrestling faction that have been taking over "indie" wrestling for a couple of years. Members have included current WWE stars AJ Styles, Finn Balor, Luke Gallows and ... Read More »
Tekken 7, the highly anticipated fighter from Bandai Namco, is due to launch in early 2017. Yesterday, Bandai Namco released a new trailer revealing that Kuma and Panda, perennial fan-favourites, will be among the Tekken 7 roster. The announcement was made in typical Tekken 7 style: "Kuma and Panda reunite and make their TEKKEN 7 debut! Who will it be, the Kuma Shinken master or Xiaoyu's former bodyguard? The choice is unbearable!" What's wrong, Bandai Namco, couldn't come up with a Panda-based pun? https://youtu.be/VBsC89kpM8g We got the chance to go hands on with Tekken 7 when it made its UK Tournament ... Read More »
