Bandai Namco Entertainment have finally announced that the first DLC pack for Tekken 7's Season Pass, the Ultimate Tekken Bowl mode, will be released on August 31st. The mode made its debut back in Tekken Tag Tournament, and quickly became one of the most infamous minigames in history, and possibly the silliest. Watching a bear launch balls at pins shaped like Heihachi's head never gets old. This new mode will bring with it some classic Tekken Bowl action with the characters of Tekken 7, along with some new costumes: Blood Vengeance School Uniforms (for Xiaoyu & Alisa) Swimsuits (All female ... Tekken fans have been blessed with a lot of quirky modes over the years, such as Tekken Force or Tekken Ball, but sadly these weren't included in the release of Tekken 7. The DLC, however, is a different story. In August, as part of the Season Pass, players will be able to enjoy Tekken Bowl in full HD glory, otherwise known as Ultimate Tekken Bowling. It's just like it was in Tekken Tag Tournament only shinier and not part of the main game. Still, it's a nice little inclusion for long-time fans of the series. No word on a proper ... Read More »
There a few game franchises that are renowned for their ability to transcend generational gaps in consoles. While many of those games are often brand exclusive, there are rare titles that are cross platform and still maintain this ability to continue to have a massive fan base. One franchise that seems to have nailed down the transition between console generations is Bandai Namco's Tekken. With their latest offering Tekken 7 now available, the question remains, does this series hold up or should it have been left in the past? First off, and this is probably the first thing that has an ... Read More »

We have all either done it or had it done to us. There have even been studies on it.  The rage quit. Bandai Namco wants to ensure that rage-quitting is something that isn't possible in the latest edition of it's fighting title, Tekken 7. "How will they manage that?" you ask. It's something that the game designers have been thinking long and hard about, as confirmed by Katsuhiro Harada in a recent interview with Gamespot. "You can't keep someone from physically pulling out the LAN cable, so the only thing you can do is make them not want to do that by ... Read More »
It is currently a fantastic time to be a fighting game fan. Capcom recently announced the release daate for Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite (September 19th, by the way), Injustice 2 is a mere three weeks away, and BANDAI NAMCO have dropped a whole bunch of new footage for Tekken 7. Like I said, it's a fantastic time. The first video is a character trailer showing off combos for characters like Law, Devil Jin and Hwoarang, alongside new characters like Gigas and Katarina. Each characters showcases their special move and combos better than anything I could ever pull off, and we've ... Read More »
Bandai Namco have officially announced the post launch content for the much anticipated fighter Tekken 7, which will include the addition of two more guest characters.  Joining Akuma, these unannounced guest characters will be available as part of the season pass and will include a new stage and new costumes related to the character in question, and will be released later this year and early next year respectively. In the meantime, more than 50 costumes will be released in the summer. Of course, this news has sent Xbox One UK (me) into speculation overload. The easy guess would be another ... Read More »
The wait may be a long and grueling road till the release of Tekken 7, scheduled currently for June 2nd. But we are getting more and more from the game in terms of trailers. The latest featuring pre-order fighter, Eliza. As well as this, Tekken 7 has joined the line up for Evo 2017. Eliza comes in the guise of a dark vampire with abilities including the summoning of supernatural powers to launch projectiles at her opponent, or, oddly, she can just drop to the floor and fall asleep. But enough of the talk, check out the gameplay trailer below: ... Read More »
Man, 2017 looks to be a promising year for fighting games! Despite promising early 2017 during the E3 story reveal, Bandai Namco have revealed that Tekken 7 will release worldwide on June 2nd 2017, stating on the TEKKEN Facebook page that the delay was to ensure that Tekken 7 is the most complete fighting game of this generation. Injustice 2 might have something to say about that, but still. The release date was revealed in an accompanying story trailer which gave us even more of a taste between the conflict between Heihachi and his son Kazuya, asking what drives your ambition: ...
