Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick recently opened up about the effectiveness of World of Warcraft’s business model in holding fans and generating revenue over a long period of time. Take-Two Interactive’s earnings call revealed more than just the amount of players on GTA Online has each week, as upcoming co-op shooter Battleborn has been delayed. Previously slated for a February 9th 2016 release, the earnings call saw the release pushed back to May 3rd. Little was given in the way of reasoning other than Gearbox needed time to fully realise their creative vision for the game. During an earnings call, Take-Two Interactive revealed how popular GTA Online is. 8 million players a week popular, apparently. I suppose the real question here is how many of those 8 million players are people trying to make videos for Youtube! During said call, Take-Two also announced their earning results for the third quarter of 2015, ending on September 30, which saw them earn a net revenue $364.9 million.
