Imagine a world 40 years in the future, as we begin to colonise distant planets. That’s where Osiris: New Dawn, from developer Fenix Fire, will take you, as you build colonies and face off against enemy ETs in the fight for interplanetary survival. And now console gamers can get in on the third-person alien action too. Last week, Osiris launched in Early Access on Steam, and pretty soon it shot into Steam’s top 100 games list. According to the studio: The Osiris: New Dawn console mission is currently scheduled to launch on the Xbox One via the ID@Xbox program and … Read More »

We Happy Few is the quirky survival game from Compulsion games, and since its release it has provoked both good and bad reactions, which is to be expected of a game still in its preview state. With preview games, the longer they are out the better they seem to get – so long as developers keep working on the game. And that is exactly what we are here to tell you: the newest patch for We Happy Few will be rolling out within the next few days. Follow the link to see an entire list of patch notes. Click Here. The underbelly of post apocalyptic New York City has seen some bugs and issues but developer Massive has been taking it upon themselves to make major improvements to The Division.  Massive has shed some light on their plan in the upcoming month to roll out update 1.4. Update 1.4 is set to fixes some bugs in the game but as well adjust things as the loot system to be more rewarding and difficulty scaling being too steep.  Players have experienced going into high level content only to be destroyed in one shot by NPC enemies no matter how well geared … Read More »

With pop culture being flooded with the concept of surviving a zombie-like horde, it’s kind of hard for new zombie-themed creations to stand out. The Final Station, developed by Do My Best, does stand out, though, and does it without having a ton of flash and flare. This is a more thoughtful take on the zombie apocalypse, though so if you go into The Final Station with the expectation of having tons of weapons and mowing down zombies, you’ll be pretty disappointed. However, go into it with an open mind and you will get to enjoy the world it creates – even if it … Read More »

Before E3 this year, We Happy Few was just another indie game that was about to hit the market but in LA it grabbed the audience by the ear and dragged it along for something of a ride. That trailer – showing the protagonist at work in a press redaction centre in a world that had been changed, where joy was provided via a pill that – was one of the highlights of E3. Those mask-wearing joyed up citizens made for a creepy feel that enticed us to experience this world for ourselves. We Happy Few is still only a preview game so … Read More »

We like We Happy Few. It’s got a long road ahead of it – something developer Compulsion Games was very clear about when the dystopian 60s adventure joined the Game Preview programme – but there’s an intriguing game lurking under the bits that need a little polish. Yesterday, the first in what is likely to be a continuing series of updates, fixes and changes landed on PC and will be heading to Xbox shortly. One of the biggest updates we’ll see is in the survival element of the game, addressing what many felt was an over emphasis on staying alive that … Read More »

Published by Telltale Publishing and developed by The Fun Pimps, 7 Days to Die is an open-world first-person zombie survival game. Think State of Decay meets ARK: Survival Evolved and you’re on the right track, with its combat, crafting, looting, mining, exploration and character growth, and only a single objective: Survive. The resource-rich environment is vast, and entirely unique, it’s a good job it does have so many resources, too, since without that, there would be no way to complete that main objective; you’d be a lamb to the inelegant slaughter. This is a true role-playing game, whereby you’ll level … Read More »

Horror fans rejoice – beloved schlock horror, Friday the 13th will be making its way to consoles pretty soon – and if the gameplay’s anything to go, it’s going to be utterly brutal. Check out the gameplay right here (This ain’t for the faint of heart)… During a livestream over on Twitch, developer Gun Media showed off some of the most savage in-game killings since Rockstar’s Manhunt. There’s an interesting twist to the gameplay, too, as gamers will spend time slicing and dicing camp kids as iconic Jason Vorhees, while also desperately attempting to avoid the hockey-masked serial killer while … Read More »
