State of Decay 2 is set to be released later this year and is the squeal to 2013’s surprise hit from developer Undead Labs, State of Decay. When it was released in 2013 State of Decay was a surprising hit. The depth of the game sucked people in and the fact that your choices really mattered made the whole experience a fairly intense one. It was the choices mechanism in State of Decay that made the story so unique and felt like you were actually involved rather than just been carried along with the story. Okay, maybe it doesn’t hint at Zombie crows. But this latest State of Decay 2 image perfectly encapsulates middle America gone to ruin. I’m not saying zombie crows are a brilliant future, but I’m sure there’s a fairly sizable population who would be thankful if that’s the worst thing that happens to America over the next four years. After the initial announcement that there will be a State of Decay sequel, Undead Labs hasn’t released much information about the game. Finally Undead Labs CEO Jeff Strain sheds some light onto the upcoming game, which will support four-player co-op. “I know SoD fans are hungry for details on number and size of maps, regions, kilometers of playable area, etc, but we’re not quite ready for that.
