Eagle-eyed gamers have spotted the sequel to EA’s Star Wars Battlefront on Amazon.co.uk. Despite mixed reviews to the original (sound design, graphics, atmosphere = good; all-too-easy accessibility, no story mode, lack of game modes and maps = bad), it was inevitable that we’d be seeing the release of Star Wars Battlefront II. Our real hope is that developer DICE have learnt lessons from issues raised with the previous game. As you’d expect from a game that’s barely been officially announced – with just a brief flash of the game’s logo at this year’s E3 aiming for a Holiday 2017 release … Read More »

Yesterday saw the debut of a new gameplay trailer for EA’s Star Wars Battlefront. The trailer which focuses solely on gameplay from the impending Death Star expansion can be seen below. The trailer seems to show the inclusion of large scale space battles centred around the Death Star. It also aims to gives us a glimpse of the five new maps that will be included with this DLC. The most note worthy points of the trailer however are a “shocking” cameo from R2-D2 and the introductions of the DLC’s new heroes the much feared bounty hunter Bossk and fan-favourite wookie Chewbacca. Are you … Read More »

The LEGO games follow a tried and trusted formula. Take a popular source of media entertainment and then give it the LEGO treatment. LEGO STAR WARS: The Force Awakens doesn’t stray far from this formula and let’s be honest, fans of the LEGO games don’t really want it to. And if you’re a fan of the Star Wars franchise then there’s … Read More »

The next expansion for DICE’s Star Wars Battlefront, entitled Death Star, is due out in the next couple of months. So far details of what can be expect are scarce, that is until now when some details have been released into a galaxy not so far away. In a public question and answer session on his official Twitter account the game’s Lead Designer, Dennis Brännvall, offered an insight into what players can expect.
