Final Fantasy XV has been dishing out DLC that further elaborates on it's story and world.  Back in March, players were treated to Episode Gladiolus.  On June 27, 2017, fans of FFXV will now be able to learn more about the king of selfies and gun combat.  From the trailer, it appears we will be given a deeper look into his deep history as well.  Gameplay takes a big shift as well, focusing more on 3rd person shooting than close quarters combat.  Watch the trailer for yourself: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQ7gs2bp9cU It appears to be more great character building from the folks at Square ... In a tweet this afternoon, IO Interactive have announced that they are now independent, and that they still own the IP rights for their popular Hitman series: https://twitter.com/IOInteractive/status/875684213231689731 Following an announcement by Square Enix  back in May, the future of the studio looked bleak for a while. Passionate fans of the studio, and especially their popular Hitman franchise, feared the worst. However, the announcement today appears to bring a positive ending to the saga. Following on from the announcement of plans for the sale of IO Interactive by Square Enix, today IO Interactive have confirmed that layoffs will be taking place at the studio: https://twitter.com/IOInteractive/status/866997673412501506 The positive side of the Tweet is that it does refer to "future adventures". Square Enix previously mentioned that they were searching for investors in the studio - so it is possible that this search is ongoing. In a note to investors, Square Enix has warned of a £33m extraordinary loss in its results for year ending 31st March 2017. With the losses suffered, the sale of developer IO Interactive is now becoming a result. The first season of the Danish developer's most recent game, Hitman, was originally sold as an episodic title before being bundled on disc. IO have continued to support the game, and an imminent second season was widely anticipated. Before this however there is a couple of patches for you to download that will help to improve your Final Fantasy experience even more. Square Enix is getting ready to launch its first major DLC for Final Fantasy XV in the form of Episode Gladiolus.  More details about the DLC drop were given at PAX East this past weekend with a new trailer to go with it. This DLC will have Gladiolus go through his very own mission, joined by Leonis.  The two will take on new enemies and bosses with new weapons and skills at their disposal.  Everything you acquire in the DLC will be able to carry through into the main game.
