It won’t be long now before all you adventurers can step back into the well-worn boots of the Dovahkiin to re-experience the rich world of Skyrim. Still, you won’t be going anywhere if you haven’t got the space on your hard drive. Bethesda have said that the game will need 25GB worth of space in Europe, but only 17GB in North America. Quite why there’s an 8GB difference between the two continents baffles me, but that’s the world we live in. Still, there is something to look forward to. Bethesda have said they will be releasing a new creation kit … Read More »

With this week’s news that you’ll get to drive a UNSC Warthog in Forza Horizon 3, we look back on some of our favourite – and most surprising – gaming crossovers. When we sat down to make our list, we realised there were more examples than we realised – everyone has a favourite franchise or genre and could think of half a dozen examples. And not just games invading other games. We all know what happens when games invade movies (the less said about Pixels, the better) but sometimes when it goes the other way, it can be brilliant. We’ve … Read More »

Back to square one with you, Dovahkiin! Anyone excited to resume their journey through the land of Skyrim from their old save will have to rethink their plans, as it’s been confirmed that you’ll be unable to transfer saves from the last generation to the Definitive Edition. Answering some questions on Twitter, Bethesda’s Pete Hines confirmed that you won’t be able to import legacy saves, nor will you be able to port saves over from the PC, despite mods being available for consoles. @certifieddork they cannot — Pete Hines (@DCDeacon) June 16, 2016 @itswasteland no — Pete Hines (@DCDeacon) July … Read More »

This is one game that people are really excited about and it’s easy to see why. Friends and no doubt partners were lost over this game. It seems that an online retailer has listed Skyrim as a remaster and also let slip it’s release date as well! (Please note this is a rumour but a heavy rumour at that) It has been been rumoured for days now that Bethesda were about to announce a remaster at E3 and this could be telltale sign that yes indeed they are in the process of remastering the game. Once again people will rejoice … Read More »

Oh cruel Bethesda! You give with the one hand, and take away with the other… During an interview with Game Informer, Todd Howard of Bethesda let slip that one of the first key steps of creating Fallout 4 for the new generation of consoles was porting Skyrim to Xbox One. However, Todd was quick to say: “Don’t get your hopes up yet.” The porting of Skyrim was an exercise for the development team to allow them to understand the new hardware quickly, and that there are no plans to release it as part of the Backwards Compatibility Program. This might be … Read More »

It was always foretold by CD Projekt that Witcher 3 was going to be an incredible eye opener for the scale of the world you will be exploring, and they haven’t failed to deliver in the slightest. So far we have found out that the Witcher 3 map is currently 136km2 which only includes 3 (Novegrad, No Man’s Land and Skellige Island) out of the possible 4-6 regions the game will consist off. The other sizes are currently unknown, so that explains even more how big this game is going to be, lots of free roaming for all avid gamers … Read More »
