Microsoft are bringing an all-new UWP version of Skype to the Xbox One. Microsoft acquired Skype in May 2011 and is one of the most widely used messaging systems with the vast majority of people relying on it for a good portion of their online communications. It appears a new preview version of Skype is now available in the Microsoft app store. This was first discovered on Reddit by user LeftTheUndead but there has been no additional information in regards to changes. It does seem that Skype will be another app to join the ranks as a universal app between Windows 10 and Xbox One for the Universal Windows Platform (UWP).
