Arguably one of the biggest attractions from this year's E3 has been Microsoft's Xbox One X console, formerly code named Project Scorpio. The console was revealed at the start of this year's expo and has been a massive talking point ever since. While the console has generated a lot of positive press there have also been some negatives. Perhaps the biggest negative, although that's an extremely harsh word, has been the lack of apparent pre-orders for the hyper powerful console. Although there could be good reason for this lack of pre-orders, in an interview with Gamertag Radio, Microsoft’s Senior Director ... Read More »

We've had a steady stream of information the past few weeks regarding Project Scorpio. With the mind blowing specs revealed, the latest feature has been confirmed by Phil Spencer via Twitter, via an answer to a personal tweet. Scorpio will have external hard drive compatibility, as you would expect. But that's not all. You'll be able to easily transfer your Xbox One games from your  external HD and plug it into Scorpio to easily transfer games over and play from there. 'That's the plan' at least,  Spencer replied. This might not sound like the most important feature, but with the ... Read More »

Microsoft’s new Xbox One Scorpio console might take some time to reach its full graphical potential. Since the release of the Scorpio price, the team behind Little Nightmares has shed some light on the graphical capabilities ahead of the release date in 2017. Sadly for those that are planning to get the scorpio on release date, despite the improved graphics boost, they might not be as good as people would expect. After winning the sales war with PlayStation for the last few months, Xbox sales slipped below those of the PS4 in November - but not by much. NPD sales figures show that Microsoft shifted a million units in November, just 10% behind the 1.1 million PS4s shipped by Sony. A pretty strong performance, given that PS4 sales were bolstered by the release of the brand new PS4 Pro, as well as PlayStation VR - one of the more affordable ways to get your head into VR headset. It's great to se e that consumers are recognising the value of Xbox ... Read More »
Head of Xbox Phil Spencer has spoken out about his thoughts and Microsoft's VR plans in a recent interview. And it appears that they are be no rush to bring the format to Scorpio or Windows 10. Asked where VR currently sits on the agenda for Microsoft, Spencer appears to not be convinced just yet. Spencer states; 'I don’t think the creators in the game space have yet found – ... Read More »

It's starting to appear like Microsoft is confident with taking shots at Sony.  In a recent interview with Albert Penello, head of product and planning  for Xbox, he has made it very clear that they are focused on what developers want with 4K but the competition is not. “I think there are a lot of caveats they're giving customers right now around 4K. They're talking about checkerboard rendering and up-scaling and things like that. There are just a lot of asterisks in their marketing around 4K, which is interesting because when we thought about what spec we wanted for Scorpio, ... Read More »
