Have you ever been playing a video game and thought to yourself: ‘If only I were defending the human race by killing a ton of aliens – now that would be a unique experience.’ Probably not, because alongside military shooters and fantasy yarns, the sci-fi kill-a-thon is probably one of the most overdone genres in gaming history. From Space Invaders to Xcom via literally millions of other titles, gamers have had the opportunity to blast ETs out of the sky for the past 40 years. So did we need another one – this time Xenoraid from 10tons Ltd? Xenoraid’s influences are … Read More »

Attention commanders – if you’ve been eagerly awaiting Mass Effect, prepare yourselves: We now know when to expect our first glimpse at the gameplay. Mass Effect: Andromeda is, by and large, still an unknown entity. We know that it features a different protagonist to the original trilogy’s Shepard, and that we can look forward to some intergalactic excursions in a world set 600 years after the original Mass Effect. That’s not much to go on, and Bioware are staying fairly tight-lipped. But what we do know is that we’ll be seeing gameplay for the very first time on December 1st. … Read More »

According to the developers: The TEK Tier will put players in power armor granting them advanced abilities, and add powerful TEK saddles with mounted energy weapons to the capabilities … Read More »

Not that you’d convince publisher Activision about that. According to a financial briefing last week, they reckoned that sales were due to be down because it’s a new sub-brand – which might be true (Black Ops is easily the … Read More »
