It won’t be long now before all you adventurers can step back into the well-worn boots of the Dovahkiin to re-experience the rich world of Skyrim. Still, you won’t be going anywhere if you haven’t got the space on your hard drive. Bethesda have said that the game will need 25GB worth of space in Europe, but only 17GB in North America. Quite why there’s an 8GB difference between the two continents baffles me, but that’s the world we live in. Still, there is something to look forward to. Bethesda have said they will be releasing a new creation kit … Read More »

Being funny is a tricky business. Zenith, from indie studio Infinigon and publisher Badland Indie, is pitched as an old-school RPG adventure with a modern-day twist – which roughly translates as classic isometric dungeon-crawling with a few jokes thrown in. There’s something very 90’s about the writing in Zenith – i.e. it’s all very post-modern and achingly self-aware, glibly referencing and riffing on the fantasy genre in the same way movies like Scream poked fun of horror movies. It reminded us of Fable, without as much charm, but with a few more swear words (pearl-clutching prudes, this isn’t the game … Read More »

We could now know precisely when Bioware’s Mass Effect: Andromeda is going to release – and we have publisher Dark Horse to thank. The accidental leak comes courtesy of a listing on Amazon for the inevitable artwork book that generally accompanies the strongly visual Mass Effect series. So here we have The Art of Mass Effect: Andromeda, published by Dark Horse. And among all the blurb about memorable characters, concept art and visceral combat is a killer line… Dark Horse will release The Art of Mass Effect: Andromeda simultaneously with the game! The book’s slated to release on 21st March … Read More »

As anyone who has played Destiny in the last couple years, the urge to go back and play raids such as Crota’s End and Vault of Glass has been increasing with time.  Once Rise of Iron comes out though, King’s Fall will also be on that list of “old” raids.  What if we could go back to them and they actually had a reason to complete them again?  Well, Bungie’s Destiny: Rise of Iron lead Christopher Barrett has finally been vocal about the old experiences guardians have been missing. Barrett has stated that the topic of old raids returning is … Read More »

With all the new changes in Destiny with 2.4.0 patch to prepare for Rise of Iron, it looks like Bungie accidently left some of the changes out of the patch notes.  The updated notes are below with additions mostly being to Titans, Sleeper Simulant, as well as the Gunsmith. Weapons Auto Rifles Reduced the maximum magazine size for highest rate of fire auto family (all weapons in the Doctrine of Passing family) Increased damage to middle rate of fire Auto Rifles by 1.5% Pulse Rifles Increased rate of fire for Häkke pulse rifle Lyudmila-D Increased damage for middle rate of … Read More »

Could Destiny be getting a new weapon class that Bungie hasn’t mentioned.  Late yesterday evening, it was tweeted out by @HEROZ3R0 that on Destiny Tracker there was a new weapon class listed named Submachine Gun. We investigated ourselves and found it listed under the Crucible right now.  You see our snapshot below: Browsing other categories on the site that sorted weapon classes however did not have Submachine Gun listed.  The listing was only under the Crucible category.  However, Destiny Tracker has stated that these categories and information all comes from Bungie’s API so it would have to be added by Bungie … Read More »

Back in October 2009, Gearbox gave the world its vision of a RPG style first person shooter that gave us all an original IP in a style never seen.  Borderlands gave fans of multiple genres a way to spend 1,000’s of hours of our lives in the world of Pandora and it’s millions of weapons and loot.  Borderlands over the next couple years has been followed up with a sequel – as well as a pre-sequel.  With Borderlands: The Pre-sequel being the most recent but also least enjoyed game in the series, fans have been getting eager hoping for Borderlands 3. … Read More »

In the Mass Effect games we are already accustomed to the selection of a male or female lead, Mass Effect Andromeda again gives us the choice of a female character or male but this time around by selecting one we don’t just eliminate the other; For example if you choose to play as the Male Ryder (The surname of our new hero) the female Ryder will also be somewhere out in the universe, we also learnt that the character we saw in an earlier trailer sporting an N7 armour is the protagonists father! Hello Ryder family. As for what role these … Read More »
