It would seem that the latest victim of the "Oh no a retailer has leaked a game early" epidemic currently sweeping the gaming community world wide is the Game of the Year edition of Rocksteady's Batman: Arkham Knight. The German off shoot of online retailing behemoth Amazon have listed the title on their site with a release date of 28th July 2016. With this title receiving the most mixed reviews of all the Arkham games then perhaps it is a little surprising that Arkham Knight is receiving a game of the year edition. However, featuring cover art that differs from that ... Read More »
Bat-fans have been waiting for this one. After a series of leaks and sort-of-confirmations, this week Warner Bros. fessed up and admitted that they’re working on a HD remaster of the first two Batman Arkham games – arguably the best games in the quadrilogy. Now we’ve had a chance to glimpse the first round of screenshots, thanks to an enterprising Reddit user. Par for the course with remasters, the changes aren’t the most dramatic you’ll ever see – this isn’t a remake, after all – but what you do get is a clear upgrade in lighting, textures and contrasts. It's that time, once again, to put my deep voice on, dust off my cape and squeeze into my extremely tight and uncomfortable leather pants (a hero's real sacrifice). It's also time to save Gotham City from the constant wave of Villains who want to take The Dark Knight out, not to dinner, but once and for all!! If anything can be said about Rocksteady's adaptation of the caped crusader it's that it's bloody awesome! There has been an ever growing struggle to make a superhero game in this day and age that not only works, but keeps you coming back for ... Read More »
It's a good thing a new 1TB hard drive Xbox One is in the works: Gamestop are reporting that Rocksteady's game will use up apporximately 45GB across all platforms. Many games are weighing in high when it comes to installation, a particular problem if you've just bought the game and want to get on with the business of playing it straight away. To avoid that delay, however, the game will most likely become available for pre-load closer to the release date, meaning if you buy digitally you can get the installation out of the way with earlier.
