Titanfall 2 has been with us for a month now, but it’s been no secret that the sequel has struggled at retail. Critics have been quick to point out, and rightly so, the poor timing of its release. Struggles were always going to happen when up against EA’s own Battlefield 1, and the infamous Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Analysts are now looking at, or maybe clutching at straws, why the public are shunning their Titans. Things kicked off with an interview between Respawn CEO Vince Zampella, and an EA Publicist. When asked if their will be a third Titanfall … Read More »

We love Titanfall 2 –  it’s one of our Games of the Year to be sure and, on balance, we think it’s the best of the three ‘big name’ shooters released in recently, trouncing Infinite Warfare and edging out the superb Battlefield 1. We think it has the quality to stand in the ring and slug it out in such a packed release window – but it seems not everyone has that faith, and we’ve previously reported on its disappointing sales. In a recent interview with Glixel, Respawn supremo and straight-talker Vince Zamparella stated that it’s not a guarantee that more Titanfall … Read More »

There’s a moment, around a third of the way through Titanfall 2‘s bombastic, heroes-and-villains filled campaign, when you’re hit with the sudden realisation that you’re having fun. You’ve been having fun from the moment it started, some three hours ago, and believe us when we tell you you’ll be having fun right ’til the very end, some six hours in the future. 2014’s Titanfall – shipping without any meaningful campaign mode – had a huge influence on the First Person Shooter marketplace. It grabbed the boots-in-the-mud genre and gave it, if not wings, then a nifty jet pack and some … Read More »

Electronic Arts have released the Official Launch Trailer for Titanfall 2, the sequel to 2014’s hit FPS online shooter. The trailer focuses on how you, the pilot and your titan, need to ‘become one’ in the battle for survival. Showcasing a range of new weapons and titans themselves, Titanfall 2 will feature a full single player campaign for the first time. This will be accompanied with a range of expected multiplayer modes including Bounty Hunt, Pilots vs Pilots and Amped Hardpoint. Fans of the original will also be pleased to hear that Attrition, will also be returning. The original, though not without … Read More »

We love Titanfall – I mean, guns, explosions, giant robots, guns that aim themselves… what’s not to like? And you’ll see from our hands on at EGX, we are loving Titanfall 2 just as much. Of course, what Titanfall lacked was a coherent single player campaign – a few multi player stages shoved together with a chat track just didn’t cut it. This is a wrong developer Respawn plans to right with Titanfall 2, which features a full stand alone campaign mode. Not much has been said about the campaign, but in the last few minutes Respawn have unleashed a cinematic trailer … Read More »

Whether it’s becoming one with a giant mechanized killing machine, fortitude in battle, playing the odds, out maneuvering enemies, or speed and agility, this trailer shows that Pilots are a breed apart. We went hands on with Titanfall 2 at EGX today and it’s the fast, fluid, immensely fun shooter we love. We’re sure Respawn will give the fans the Titanfall experience they crave. Check out the trailer for … Read More »
