It won’t be long now before all you adventurers can step back into the well-worn boots of the Dovahkiin to re-experience the rich world of Skyrim. Still, you won’t be going anywhere if you haven’t got the space on your hard drive. Bethesda have said that the game will need 25GB worth of space in Europe, but only 17GB in North America. Quite why there’s an 8GB difference between the two continents baffles me, but that’s the world we live in. Still, there is something to look forward to. Bethesda have said they will be releasing a new creation kit … Read More »

This article right here is for all those gamers who missed this hidden gem the first time round. Do not make that mistake again. According to the Brazilian Advisory Rating Board, Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition has been rated for release on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. It’s listed as being published by Gearbox Software and is scheduled to be released in 2017. This isn’t the first rumour of a Bulletstorm remaster. Back in June, screenshots of a Bulletstorm remaster were included in an E3 asset package distributed by Microsoft, but no official announcement was made, nor has one been made … Read More »

It has been almost ten years since Bioshock exploded onto the scene and instantly became a classic of the FPS genre. With its iconic Big Daddies and sweet as mud little sisters, it grabbed the attention of gamers and the following two games, Bioshock 2 and Bioshock Infinite have only tightened that grip. So now is the time that 2K have decided is appropriate to release a remastered collection of all three games in one neat little package – Bioshock: The Collection. The remaster debate is a sticky one. There are those who relish the chance to revisit the games that they … Read More »

Would you kindly prepare yourselves for the imminent release of Bioshock: The Collection by checking out the all-new launch trailer for the game. The collection, released worldwide on 15th September, features fully remastered versions of the original trilogy, with a graphical boost in lighting, textures, all running in the holy grail of 1080p/60fps. Or ‘up to 60fps’, at least, as the studio has been keen to point out. Bioshock’s remasters also includes all of the DLC for all of the games, meaning you won’t miss a single thing from Irrational Games’ creepy and well-realised game universe. Fans of the series … Read More »

Red Dead Redemption could be getting a remastered version for Xbox One, PS4 and PC, if rumours are to be believed. Rumours have been swirling of a sequel to the hit western epic, with maps and other details apparently leaked online – however, unsurprisingly, it seems that a remaster may be in the works. It comes from Korean website Game Focus, who claim that they’ve heard rumblings of Asian localisation for RDR. Forgive the rough translation here, but… In mid-August we heard stories of the Asian localising of Red Dead Redemption in America. Checking with multiple North American sources, it seems that … Read More »

EA hasn’t jumped on the “remaster” bandwagon like other publishers have but that may soon change.  Last year at E3 Patrick Soderlund, executive vice president for EA Studios, said his studio was looking towards future projects instead of remasters. However, at Gamescom 2016 he seems to be shifting the other direction with the Mass Effect franchise in particular.  Soderlund in a recent interview said this about the possible change at heart: What’s changed is that there is proof in the market that people want it, maybe more than there was when we spoke. There were some that did it before, but I think … Read More »

So this is a bit of a bummer. Activision have confirmed that the Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, which was due to be released today, is now being released on Thursday. No word on why the Xbox One release has been slightly delayed, but it’s especially confusing when you consider that the bundle is currently available on PS4 and PC. Also, Activision haven’t officially confirmed whether or not the DLC released for both games will also be included. We’d hope so, considering they’re asking for £30 each or £44.99 for the bundle… Whilst not the end of the world, it is a … Read More »

This summer might have been a washout so far, but at least it’ll be going out with a bang! Capcom have announced, via their Capcom Unity blog, that the critically acclaimed fourth iteration of the Resident Evil series will be available for Xbox One on August 30th, completing this weird, released-in-a-backwards-order remastered trilogy. This version of Resident Evil 4 will include all the bonus content that’s been included with the different versions of the game, such as the accompanying side story Separate Ways that follows Ada Wong, and the always popular Mercenaries Mode. No word yet on the pricing, but … Read More »

Back to square one with you, Dovahkiin! Anyone excited to resume their journey through the land of Skyrim from their old save will have to rethink their plans, as it’s been confirmed that you’ll be unable to transfer saves from the last generation to the Definitive Edition. Answering some questions on Twitter, Bethesda’s Pete Hines confirmed that you won’t be able to import legacy saves, nor will you be able to port saves over from the PC, despite mods being available for consoles. @certifieddork they cannot — Pete Hines (@DCDeacon) June 16, 2016 @itswasteland no — Pete Hines (@DCDeacon) July … Read More »
