Rockstar are the masters of keeping silent with their big games until close to release. But if retailer Base is anything to go by, then we might not have too long to wait. They have set a release for Red Dead Redemption 2 for 26th September 2017. This could indicate a possible leak and also sits in line with previous big releases - GTA V launched in the late September window also. What really strikes us though is that other big titles that are on their way such as , Sea of Thieves and Crackdown 3 have a placeholder date ... Read More »
The Rockstar insider who leaked details of the last two GTA Online details has offered up some tantalising information on Red dead Redemption 2. We already know a little bit about the game based on the official teaser trailer and a statement from Take Two’s CEO Strauss Zelnick. He claimed that for Red Dead Redemption 2 I think the times are right for a big, sprawling, optimistic view of America again – and that’s not meant to be cute. But Rockstar are notoriously secretive about their work, so we’ll take any leak we can get (even if we hate ourselves ... Read More »
Since the tease by Rockstar on Twitter yesterday, another source has come under fire from Reddit users to quash their rumour that showed a URL link in HTML code. Apparantly, the user in question just 'inspected' an element from a webpage and altered it to show Red Dead Retribution and has absolutely nothing to do with Rockstar. Only time will confirm, as an official announcement draws closer Do you think Retribution will be the final name or will it be something completely different? Judging by previous iterations, they've began with the letter 'R', so Retribution may not be that far ... Read More »
Rockstar continues to melt gamers' minds with a second tease about their next title. And you thought yesterday’s Twitter announcement would be the last we heard of Rockstar’s next release for a while? Think again. The studio today posted a new teaser image on Facebook and Twitter, this time featuring the silhouettes of seven gunslingers against a rising sun. You’ll also spot familiar rocky terrain of the Rio Bravo behind them. https://twitter.com/RockstarGames/status/788001608827281408 And here's the image enlarged... Red Dead Magnificent Seven, anyone? This has left gamers wondering what sort of epic Western yarn Rockstar are spinning, and whether the game ... Read More »

There are developers out there who always try to take forms of transportation such as modesty mopeds, silence scooters and behind-closed-doors buses. However try as they might these developers always end up with first class seats on the Hype Train. Developers with mega passes to this form of transport include the likes of Square Enix, Bethesda and perhaps most notably Rockstar, who we're going to discuss in greater detail here. Since what seems like the beginning of time now Rockstar have been victims of unnecessary hype, which is in part their own fault. That's not necessarily a bad thing though as it ... Read More »
Red Dead Redemption could be getting a remastered version for Xbox One, PS4 and PC, if rumours are to be believed. Rumours have been swirling of a sequel to the hit western epic, with maps and other details apparently leaked online – however, unsurprisingly, it seems that a remaster may be in the works. It comes from Korean website Game Focus, who claim that they've heard rumblings of Asian localisation for RDR. Forgive the rough translation here, but... In mid-August we heard stories of the Asian localising of Red Dead Redemption in America. Checking with multiple North American sources, it seems that ... Read More »
Financial reports. Dull as dishwater. "Some company made some money, lost some money, here are some huge numbers that are incomprehensible to most people." But, you know what? Accountants? Major teases. Major. Don't believe me? Allow me to elaborate, dear reader. Yesterday, publishing giant Take Two released its figures for the first quarter of 2016-17 (April - June). In that time they made some money, lost some money, sold some games, and delayed some games. If you're interested in the numbers, head on over to Gamespot's coverage of the financials. Or do something more interesting, like... oh, I don't know. ... Read More »
