It was just a matter of time – now for the six people who bought ReCore, prepare to for a HDR update. The announcement came – where else? – on Twitter, where both Microsoft Studios’ Shannon Loftis and Xbox’s Mike Ybarra both confirmed that the game will get a graphical upgrade when played on Xbox One S. https://twitter.com/XboxQwik/status/803050270200467456 HDR – high dynamic range – gives greater colour and contrast to images, essentially making them a whole lot richer and pleasing on the eye. The downside? You’ll need a TV capable of rendering 4K images and an Xbox One S (Sorry, ... Read More »
Action-Adventure Platformer ReCore, developed by Armature Studio and Comcept, with assistance from Asobo Studio, and published by Microsoft Studios, had some high expectations and optimism but the technical issues and generally low review scores (metacritic score of 63) appear to have impacted on its sales. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3C96jTk2ss0 According to VGChartz, ReCore sold 56,733 units first week at retail. A few of us here at Xbox One UK have enjoyed our time with ReCore, although a major gripe of ours is the excruciatingly long loading times - especially if you happen to die a lot! And we weren't the only ones with this complaint - the Japanese / US dev collaboration of Comcept /Armature studios have been keeping a keen eye on the Internet and listening to their fans. The first patch on the agenda addresses the loading time issues, which you can read more about by visiting the official ReCore website here. "An update will be released this week for Xbox One and ... You can stop looking for the 5th and final robot in ReCore. It’s not there. The frantically searching players were addressed yesterday morning by the game's Twitter page. When asked about the inaccessible map area and the Tank dedicated menu space, Microsoft responded, "The Tank is not currently available in the game. But please stay tuned for news."
