Action-Adventure Platformer ReCore, developed by Armature Studio and Comcept, with assistance from Asobo Studio, and published by Microsoft Studios, had some high expectations and optimism but the technical issues and generally low review scores (metacritic score of 63) appear to have impacted on its sales. According to VGChartz, ReCore sold 56,733 units first week at retail. Breaking down the sales by region, the game sold best in the US with 32,162 units sold (57%), compared 15,537 units sold in Europe (27%). The game also sold 1,078 units in Japan (2%). Looking more closely at Europe, the game sold an estimated 5,745 units in the … Read More »

A few of us here at Xbox One UK have enjoyed our time with ReCore, although a major gripe of ours is the excruciatingly long loading times – especially if you happen to die a lot! And we weren’t the only ones with this complaint – the Japanese / US dev collaboration of Comcept /Armature studios have been keeping a keen eye on the Internet and listening to their fans. The first patch on the agenda addresses the loading time issues, which you can read more about by visiting the official ReCore website here. “An update will be released this week for Xbox One and … Read More »

You can stop looking for the 5th and final robot in ReCore. It’s not there. The frantically searching players were addressed yesterday morning by the game’s Twitter page. When asked about the inaccessible map area and the Tank dedicated menu space, Microsoft responded, “The Tank is not currently available in the game. But please stay tuned for news.” Which means that it will be available at some point, but will it be free? The two common opinions revolving this oddity are that either: The developers didn’t quite finish Tank before the game released on September 13th. It was purposefully left out to … Read More »

ReCore, the Xbox One and Windows 10 exclusive title from the brain of Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune, lands on 13 September. After not exactly wowing audiences with its E3 showing, the subsequent weeks have been kinder to the title, revealing deeper gameplay mechanics than expected alongside the charming characterisation we’ve come to expect from Inafune’s work. Both aspects are evident in the brand new launch trailer, as well as some pretty stunning visuals and hints at an intriguing storyline. ReCore will be the first Xbox Play Anywhere title release – so buying it in the Store for either platform … Read More »

Gamescom 2015 was a big deal for Microsoft and Xbox – the premiere European event of the season showcased “the greatest games lineup in Xbox history” and the 90 minute briefing was jam-packed with Xbox goodness. Xbox supremo Phil Spencer has confirmed there’ll be no similar briefing at Gamescom (Cologne, Germany, 17-21 August) this year – but there will be a Sea-of-Thieves-galleon-sized boatload of games to play, including Gears of War 4, Forza Horizon 3, Halo Wars 2, ReCore, We Happy Few, Everspace, and Cuphead. With six stands across three areas and two halls, Microsoft’s presence will be anything but low key. Mr … Read More »

ReCore is the beautiful looking action adventure game currently been developed by Armature Studios for Microsoft. The game is set to be released in September and the closer we get the more we here about it. Co-Creator Mark Pacini has been talking recently about the length of the game and now he has tried to get a little specific. Tried is the important word here as in the past he has been very wrong about the length of his games. Even by his own admissions is estimates are terrible. So with that been said, Picini says that ReCore will be … Read More »
