A while back we mentioned the big moves Konami has made to try to become the benchmark in the world of football with Pro Evolution Soccer 2017.  Earlier in the year they struck a deal with FC Barcelona to use VR scans of their players which created some great graphical textures of those players.  You can read about it and see the scans here. PES 2017 has been announced by publisher Konami, and so far it looks like it will be a massive improvement over previous installments. The launch showcases some of the improvements and alterations that will be found in the coming game. Konami states that PES 2017 will have a feature known as 'Real Touch', which allows the players on the field to interact with the ball in unique ways depending on how you control them. There's big changes afoot at Konami. The studio has plans for no more triple A titles to be produced there apart from Pro Evolution Soccer and worldwide technology director Julien Merceron has left the company. It is been said that Merceron has left the company due to his increasing unhappiness at the direction that the studio is taking. This direction is to lead them away entirely from the production of console games so that they can concentrate their efforts and resources on the development of mobile games.
