There's another hefty week of releases ahead after last weeks bumper list of games. Perception, which was originally scheduled for last week received an eleventh hour delay and is scheduled now for the 6th June. It's not often games get delayed a day before release, but that's exactly what's happened to horror title Perception. In development by Deep End Games, an indie studio formed by developers who previously worked on big hits including Bioshock and Dead Space took to twitter to announce the delay. Whilst the game is out on PC today, the console release has been pushed back a week to presumably give a new launch date of June 6th. https://twitter.com/TheDeepEndGames/status/869181802342227968 A further tweet highlighted the issue down to an administrative error regarding the games ratings over different territories. Last week saw a big release in terms of Prey, the decade-long awaited title from Bethesda that first came to fruition in 2006. After revealing a console release a couple of months ago, Italian developer LKA have confirmed that The Town of Light will be heading to Xbox One this June 6th. Prey is due to finally launch this Friday May 5th, and as seems to be the standard in this day and age, it comes equipped with a day one patch. Weighing in at 1.3 GB, it's not going to break the bandwidth but it will bring a range of tweaks and fixes to the launch day release. Polish developers Transhuman Design have confirmed a release date for the upcoming Xbox One title, BUTCHER. Hitting the store as a digital download on May 10th, the 2D pixelated shooter has been developed as an ode to DOOM. Promising lots of carnage and, of course, blood. With inspiration taken from DOOM and Quake, you take control of a robot whose sole purpose is to eradicate any remains of humanity left.
