Anyone who has played Tom Clancy’s The Division from the start will know it’s been a heck of a roller coaster ride through periods of unbalanced gameplay and glitches – insert Ubisoft jokes here.  The core mechanics of the game itself are some of the most fun I’ve had in a game.  I did however take a long break during version 1.3 until update 1.4 came out. For those unfamiliar with the lifespan of The Division, when the game was updated to version 1.3 rewards were not progressive to help players move on to the next harder difficulty or challenge. … Read More »

Today Massive has announced that players will be getting more Stash size in Tom Clancy’s The Division.  How much more you ask?  Try more than double and it will come in update 1.5.  Currently agents have 70 spots in their stash for weapons and gear but that will be increased to 150 when the new update is released along with the new Survival game mode.  With as much gear that’s available in The Division with update 1.4’s increased drop rates, players have been acquiring a ton of loot that an increase to Stash space was something requested by a lot of players.  Also, … Read More »

Ever since the overhaul of update 1.4 to The Division, agents are picking their guns up and fighting for New York City once again.  Now, Massive had a “Special Report” stream to show off the next installment known as Survival.  Survival in a whole is a 24-man survival test where you use the entire open world map as a ground to extract some antiviral samples for the Green Poison.  Here are some of the in depth details we know so far: Survival uses the current map of New York City with Blizzard like conditions – a la Destiny: Rise of … Read More »

Massive today sat down with their normal “State of the Game” stream to talk about what they have learned from Tom Clancy’s The Division update 1.4 and what they plan on doing for 1.5  Update 1.4 has definitely done a lot of good for The Division but as with any game, exploits and issues may occur when you make changes.  Luckily, Massive actually seems pretty on top of it for once. The first thing that was address is the farming of the Clear Sky incursion for phoenix credits.  With the introduction to world tiers, players who are fully geared for … Read More »

I was one of the biggest fans of Tom Clancy’s The Division from the start.  Starting with the beta and all the way to current day, I’ve always wanted this game to save me from my Destiny addiction.  Through its life however, The Division has had it’s issues through glitches/exploits and gameplay balancing but overall the bones of the game are strong.  With the recent patch 1.4, all this was supposed to be fixed and it truly is.  However though, the game experience is very broken and unfortunately there is nothing that Massive can do to fix it. The other night … Read More »

In Massive’s developer blog, there have been some changes done in the upcoming patch 1.4 to better scale difficulty and time to kill issues with the current build of Tom Clancy’s: The Division.  Since the patch is still in development – things may still change.  You can see the changes down below: Recap of gear changes: All gear in World Tier 2 and higher will have all three base stats – Firearms, Stamina, Electronics – on them, one of these stats will be higher than the others. Other bonuses, like crit chance and headshot damage, will be scaled down to … Read More »

It seems that after the initial updates you either love or hate this game. Like Destiny before it you either love it or you hate it. It still has a massive fan base though and they will be pleased to hear some progress along the lines of DLC. There has been a slight leak from Amazon (which seems to be happening with alarming regularity) of the release date of the first expansion pack for The Division. Here is the leak which first appeared on the German Amazon website. As you can see, the first expansion pack is called Underground; which … Read More »
