A Football Legend Returns in New PES 2019 Announcement Trailer

Football fans woke up this morning to the a brand new announcement trailer for Pro Evolution Soccer 2019. While Konami‘s answer to FIFA hasn’t seen the same sales figures as EA’s flagship footie game recently, the newest PES title could potentially be a turning point for the franchise. Having only just released, Konami have announced that it’s bringing a new game mode Legends to the Pro Evoultion series, as a myClub feature, which focuses on their few licensed teams. Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 Gets Online Beta, Available Now

In the ongoing battle between EA Sports and Konami for virtual footballing supremacy, it’s Konami that are making the next move, as they’ve released an open beta for the upcoming Pro Evolution Soccer 2018. The open beta will consist of 1 vs 1 and 3 vs 3 online play between Brazil and France, and the team have been asking players on Twitter to fill out a user survey to help improve the overall experience. Former Konami President Takes New Job – As President of Kojima Productions

Having previously headed up Konami Europe, Shinji Hirano is now taking the helm at Kojima Productions. With no official statement being released, the news was actually discovered on LinkedIn – where Hirano now lists his new position, alongside this job description: Responsible for managing extremely talented creative teams as one single entity and providing the leadership to make company successful as one of the greatest creative studios in the world. Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 Demo Now Available

A while back we mentioned the big moves Konami has made to try to become the benchmark in the world of football with Pro Evolution Soccer 2017.  Earlier in the year they struck a deal with FC Barcelona to use VR scans of their players which created some great graphical textures of those players.  You can read about it and see the scans here.
