We all know how the Call of Duty franchise works.  November comes around and one of the now three developers puts out the latest Call of Duty game.  We see many different variations of the game sold, bundled with knick knacks and other cool toys that appeal to the most hardcore of fans.  They are great side items and usually accent a part of the new main game.  But what if the gamers would rather just have the add on instead of the actual game? One of our editors, Brian, spoke yesterday about how Activision is bundling its next game … Read More »

We here at Xbox One UK like to try and make the more frugal readers aware of the deals and freebies they can claim on Xbox Live. Turns out some saints over on reddit want the same for you too. A user by the name of engene124 created a thread to remind users of all the free Call of Duty DLC they can download, which is useful given the amount of CoD games that have and may soon become backwards compatible. The list is as follows: World at War – Makin (search makin in store) COD 2 – Bonus Map … Read More »

It’s the perfect Jeopardy category, really: Piers Morgan. Trump’s tiny hands. Call of Duty Infinite Warfare. “Things that are deservedly hated.” But, wait? Deservedly? Really? Okay, two of them, absolutely. No argument here. But when a trailer for a COD game that’s not even out yet became one of the most disliked YouTube videos ever, we sat up and took notice. Yes, Call of Duty has seen diminishing returns of late, and Battlefield 1‘s boots-on-the-ground popularity is as much a COD future war protest as it is recognition of the rival franchise’s own merits. But COD’s still fun. Its hyperspeed … Read More »

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare gives you the opportunity to replay one of the fan favourite maps, Modern Warfare 2’s Terminal, if you preorder the new title. Of course as Infinite Warfarse is futuristic and in space, Terminal will be getting a space revamp. It’s now been converted into a shuttle port on the moon – check out the concept art. You may get the opportunity later down the line if you don’t pre-order to get Terminal, in the same way Nuketown was made available later, but the wait could be a little long. Most CoD titles are usually worth a pre-order and … Read More »

When the next installment of the Call of Duty franchise, Infinite Warfare was announced it garnered quite a lot of attention and lets just say that not all of it was positive. One of the positive things to come out of the reveal however was the announcement that if you buy Infinite Warfare you will also get a remastered version of the classic Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare, a game that is definitely a fan favourite. In a Twitter post on the official Call of Duty account the developer announced a new gameplay trailer to show us just how … Read More »

Infinite Warfare was met with very mixed reviews from the fans on how they broke off from their military branches and have gone full science fiction. Infinity Ward say they will embrace that setting to make a unique Call of Duty experience like never before. In an interview, Infinity Ward’s Brian Horton explained how the weapons will be energy based and how they will be unique to the Call of Duty franchise. “Our energy weapons are completely unique to this franchise; but there are a mix of weapons that you are accustomed to: ballistic weapons as well as energy weapons,” … Read More »

Activision are never all that subtle with their advertising in particular for a game like Call of Duty. The furore and backlash from the Infinite Warfare trailer on YouTube has just about died down after coming out last month and being one of the most disliked YouTube videos of all time. They have gone the whole hog with their advertising at E3 this year with Infinite Warfare taking centre stage and not being stupid they have also advertised the remastered Modern Warfare all around one entrance at the LA Convention Centre where E3 will kick off in the next couple of … Read More »

The new Call of Duty title, Infinite Warfare, has been through the ringer since it was revealed. The future setting put many long time fans on edge, only made worse by the concept of going to space. It quickly rocketed down the rankings to become the most disliked trailer on Youtube ever and its negative reactions from fans and critics alike have seen it make headlines again and again for none of the right reasons. It is a widely known fact that the Call of Duty has been running the same game engine almost since the start, and even that … Read More »
