As we find ourselves heading to the last few days of November, it’s time to start sharing the love and giving congratulations to people that truly deserve it. Here at Xbox One UK, we like to recognise the developers in the Indie scene – these guys and girls really do deserve extra credit for their work. They painstakingly get an idea from mere thoughts into an actual game for all of us to play and enjoy, now if that doesn’t deserve a tip of the hat then I really don’t know what does. So for the month of August, we … Read More »

We have all had dreams or imagined as a child our toys coming to life.  What type of personality would they have or who they could be? Toy Odyssey: The Lost and Found takes that idea and creates a stellar action based 2D platformer with rich story and RPG mechanics.  With so much going on, it’s easy to get overwhelmed, but makes you eager to continue. In Toy Odyssey you play as Brand. Brand is initially confused on why he exists but learns of the nightmares his owner Felix has been having, and wants to do everything he can to stop … Read More »

Who hasn’t ever wanted to be a ninja?  Having the skills in combat as well as the grace needed to move about without ever being seen – that would be amazing. Kyurinaga’s Revenge is a 2D platformer that allows you to take the role of one two ninja warriors in a pursuit to top an evil warlord.  While it is a true-to-form platformer, it doesn’t quite offer the full-on ninja experience.  At least not without limitations. In Kyurinaga’s Revenge you play as Kaoru and Broccoli – one is an onion and the other is well… broccoli.  Kyurinaga’s war machine took a decisive blow right after … Read More »

As we find ourselves out of September, it’s time to start sharing the love and giving congratulations to people that truly deserve it. So for the month of August, we have chosen the Indie title that … Read More »

With pop culture being flooded with the concept of surviving a zombie-like horde, it’s kind of hard for new zombie-themed creations to stand out. The Final Station, developed by Do My Best, does stand out, though, and does it without having a ton of flash and flare. This is a more thoughtful take on the zombie apocalypse, though so if you go into The Final Station with the expectation of having tons of weapons and mowing down zombies, you’ll be pretty disappointed. However, go into it with an open mind and you will get to enjoy the world it creates – even if it … Read More »
