Halo has and probably always will be a staple of the Xbox gaming community having been around as long as the platform itself, it’s hard to imagine an Xbox generation not having the ability to play a Halo game. Halo started as little more than a neatly packed trilogy ending in 2007 but since then it has exploded into a universe of diverse story telling in the form of novels, secret websites and even new games. Halo Wars (Released February 2009) was the first game to show us a taste of the new and improved Haloverse that was to come, no longer … Read More »

Achievements. Don’t you just love them? Often imitated, never bettered (we’re looking at you, Trophies) they have been a major element of the Xbox experience since the very first days of the Xbox 360 back in 2005. Microsoft announced the first real change to Achievement notifications last week, with the Rare Achievement notification. If you’re struggling to hear that sound poop for you, here’s a tip: dust off that Halo: The Master Chief Collection disc and get basting. According to stat tracking experts True … Read More »

Since the last of the planned Halo 5: Guardians updates – Firefight – things have been pretty quiet on the Halo 5 front, with attention shifting to Halo Wars 2. Quiet, but not silent.
