Gwent: The Witcher Card Game has been in closed beta since before Christmas, but now it looks as though it's official release is getting closer now that it's opening the doors to everyone. Come May 24th, Gwent will become an open beta for Xbox One and other platforms. Any progress accumulated over the course of the closed beta will be reset, and will not be carried over, giving new players a fair chance. For anyone that's played The Game of the Year winner, The Witcher 3, will undoubtedly be familiar with the term 'Gwent'. For those of you who aren't familiar, it is The Witcher's answer to Final Fantasy's Triple Triad from many eons ago. This may not come as much of a surprise because since the release of The Witcher 3 many of us have grown to love the in game card match 'Gwent' which allows you to collect a series of cards and battle them against an opposing team, each card having its own values and skills. Many players have actually requested that Gwent have some type of full release so this should come as good news to fans.
