Bulletstorm is an over the top FPS with crass humour that hasn't aged as badly as it has in some games. Or that's the way that it looks from the launch trailer for the remaster, Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition. Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition will bring all of the fun and emotion of the original game onto the current generation of consoles. One of the most unique aspects of Bulletstorm was the scoring system that gave you extra points for unique kills and combos. This scoring system adds a lot of variety and fun to the game as well as adding ... Read More »
When it was released in 2011 Bulletstorm was an underappreciated, over the top shooter that put the fun back into the FPS genre. “I’ve been at Gearbox for 10 years and this is the craziest update we’ve ever done!” - Gearbox Software Producer, Chris Brock. “Since Battleborn launched in May, we have worked hard to bring you new features, characters, modes, and regular updates, some of which are a direct result of the community’s feedback. Although requested features, like training modes, are just now being implemented, they have long been a part of Battleborn’s plans and took the time to develop.” - 2K Team. UPDATE DETAILS WHEN: The update began rolling out at 2 pm PT/ 5 pm ET on Thursday, January 19, 2017 Xbox One: 18GB ... Read More »
Newcomers and veterans can expect some treats The story of Battleborn is quite an usual one, it's a game where nothing is bad about it at all but for some reason fails to connect to a vast majority of gamers. Maybe it was the release date being close to Overwatch, maybe it's a genre that isn't as big as first thought; no one is quite sure why but there is a silver lining. Gearbox have decided to release a humongous update that all players will enjoy regardless if they're new to the field or a seasoned veteran - you know ... Read More »
UPDATE: It appears, thanks to some handy NeoGaf users, that Borderlands is available as this weekend's Free Play Days title. This is a promotion that Microsoft run every now and again when there's some kind of sale on. The last one was Overwatch, but the program has also included Rainbow Six: Siege and Halo 5: Guardians. Usually, this promotion is limited to Gold members, but apparently Silver members have been able to download Borderlands too (thanks, Eurogamer), so perhaps there's more to this story. We're still waiting on confirmation from Microsoft regarding this. Original Post: Borderlands: The Handsome Collection has had a ... Read More »
When Battleborn released earlier this year we found a game that was a pleasant mix of various genres. Whilst having a steep learning curve it was still fun to play with a different and interesting style. Unfortunately, it soon fell out of favour with many gamers. This was no doubt due to it being released so close to the release of FPS juggernaut Overwatch. The games are very different but the popularity of Overwatch definitely hurt a lot of Battleborn's player base. That being said, the game still has a loyal fan base with many players feeling that by moving the game to free to ... Read More »
Back in October 2009, Gearbox gave the world its vision of a RPG style first person shooter that gave us all an original IP in a style never seen.  Borderlands gave fans of multiple genres a way to spend 1,000's of hours of our lives in the world of Pandora and it's millions of weapons and loot.  Borderlands over the next couple years has been followed up with a sequel - as well as a pre-sequel.  With Borderlands: The Pre-sequel being the most recent but also least enjoyed game in the series, fans have been getting eager hoping for Borderlands 3. ... Gearbox has officially confirmed at a PAX East panel  that it will be developing its third Borderlands game (the Pre-Sequel was created by 2K Australia) after it is finished with current project Battleborn and the subsequent DLC. "It's no secret, obviously there's going to be another Borderlands" Gearbox CEO and president Randy Pitchford said, he went on to add "We don't even know if we're going to call it that. We could call it Borderlands 4 for all we know" (let's be honest, that title would surprise no one). Battleborn art director Scott Kester said he will be the art ... Read More »
