In a blog post in the early hours of this morning, Friday the 13th: The Game developers Illfonic and Gun Media shared an announcement regarding what's to come in the game. The single most important thing in that lengthy blog post is the image below, that details the upcoming roadmap of DLC for the game. In addition to publishing the above, the (lengthy!) blog post also seeks to shed some light on the apparent lack of progress with regard to fixing various bugs and crashes that are still present in the Xbox One version of the game. The post confirms ... Read More »
After a rocky launch on Xbox One,  Friday the 13th developers Gun Media promised plenty of patches and support but kept silent on the matter, infuriating fans and backers. Over the last month or so, their support came into fruition by fixing matchmaking bugs and providing quality of life changes, even so far as to shortening maps to provide quicker gameplay for players. The developers have recently released a teaser trailer simply titled 'IV' - referencing the fourth movie in the franchise. The trailer shows a new map with new weather effects and a glimpse of the Jason from the ... Read More »
In a post on Facebook, Gun Media and Illfonic have announced that the long-awaited patch for the Xbox One version of Friday the 13th has passed certification and is now live. The game launched back in May and surpassed expectations in terms of sales and player numbers - and suffered a large number of performance related problems as a result. Several patches have improved the situation, but for a period of time the Xbox One version of the game has lagged behind the PS4 and PC versions due to problems gaining certification for the patch. It sounds like those issues ... Read More »
Gun Media, developers of Friday The 13th, have confirmed that news on the single player element of the game will be coming soon. The game launched back in May as an asymmetrical multiplayer experience and was warmly received in spite of being dogged by a large number of technical issues - due in no small part to it enjoying more success than had been expected. Little mention has been made of the single player since launch as the developers have concentrated on resolving the multiplayer issues, but the silence has now been broken. Speaking to Gamespot, the developers have confirmed ... Read More »

The latest trailer for the delayed Friday the 13th game by Gun Media was released at PAX East 2017. The video demonstrates a range of grisly executions by the infamous killer Jason. Character models are nostalgically dressed in an 80's style fashion whilst the backtrack music gives this trailer a distinct feeling of the same era. Whilst there is no firm release date yet set, Friday the 13th was delayed to allow for improvements, but more interestingly, a single player campaign, which originally missed its stretch goal as part of a kickstarter for the title. Check out the full trailer ... Read More »
Friday the 13th: The Game will miss its 2016 release window and has now been scheduled for Spring 2017. However the disappointment of the delay was softened by the news that the game will now have a few added features - a single player experience (originally a missed stretch goal) and AI bots for offline multi-player. The game is predominantly an online multi-player but these new features offer options for those looking to experience the game offline. Developer Gun Media explained that the Kickstarter success story needs some extra time to add polish and additional features to make it the ... Read More »
Kill or be killed in Friday the 13th: The Game.  This “semi-open world” lets you wreak havoc as Jason, or try to survive as one of the seven camp counselors. "It's a classic horror fan's dream, no shaky cam, no found footage," developers said. "We want you to know we're revitalizing the golden era of slashers, and putting you at the controls of each horrific, blood-splattered moment." The trailer below debuted at PAX West and is as gory as the Mortal Kombat X trailers. It’s not for those of you that are squeamish. Skulls are stomped, guts are pierced, necks are ... Read More »
