Thanks to a slip up from Amazon the date and price of the upcoming Porsche Expansion for Forza 6 has been released. Microsoft haven’t released anything official about this future expansion, but as you can see below from the retail juggernaut’s listing it’s set to release on 1 March with a US price tag of $20. Microsoft’s Xbox One racing game Forza Motorsport 6 added microtransactions this week. As you might have guessed, some were not happy about this and have voiced their concerns. Now, Forza 6 creative director Dan Greenawalt has chimed in. Responding to a person on Twitter who said it was “sad” that developer Turn 10 was adding microtransactions to Forza 6, Greenawalt explained the game was “designed, tuned, and tested 100 percent without them.” Not only that, but he pointed out that they can be toggled off. “You can turn them off,” he added. Microsoft’s Xbox hardware team has created a stunning custom Xbox One Elite Controller concept, themed around the new Ford GT. Today Xbox announced a partnership with V8 Supercars Australia that will bring 10 cars from all five manufacturers in the current V8 Supercar series into Forza Motorsport 6 with 2015 liveries – a first for the franchise. In addition, the world renowned Australian Mount Panorama race track will also be included in game when Forza Motorsport 6 launches on 15 September 2015, exclusively on Xbox One. Chinese website Game Cores managed to score an interview with Chris Bishop, Lead Producer for Forza Motorsport 6 at Turn 10 Studios. Quite a few interesting details were revealed. For instance, while the game won’t feature dynamic weather, it will be possible to select 26 different weather modes or patterns. Even more intriguing is Bishop’s admission that the studio is currently exploring potential Hololens applications. In anticipation of the forthcoming Xbox One exclusive racing game, Forza 6, developers Turn10 have announced that two classic McLaren cars will be joining the ranks of vehicles that have already been announced (for the full list of cars that have been released so far, check out the official Forza website.
