The hit mobile title Fallout Shelter, based on the Fallout series, is coming to Xbox One on 7 February, 2017.  The best part of this is that it is a free download as well.  Fallout Shelter will also be part of the Play Anywhere program meaning that your progress will continue across both Xbox One and your Windows 10 PC. Players are given the opportunity to manage their own vault in the post apocalyptic world of Fallout.  You will be tasked with managing and producing resources, scavenging, as well as defending your people and dwellings from the evils of the ... Here's a sobering thought for you all: the Doomsday Clock currently sits at 3 minutes to midnight, and it doesn't look like we'll be turning back time in the near future. If it's not the tension regarding Syria, nuclear weapons testing in North Korea or unchecked climate change that'll do us in, it'll be the frigging killer clowns. Seriously, what the hell world?! But, if the world is going to end, what form will it take? Will humanity live on post-reckoning? How will we get our jollies in an apocalyptic wasteland? Here are 6 games on Xbox One that show ... Vault Dweller! War might not change, but the post-apocalyptic nuclear wasteland just got a whole lot more cubic... Minecraft devs Mojang have announced that a mash-up pack to the popular RPG Fallout will be coming to consoles at some point in the near future. Like all mash-up packs, this appears to be a Minecraft shaped love letter to the game in question. For the low price of $5,99 (probably about £4.50 here if compared to other mash-up packs), you'll get 44 Fallout themed skins including fan favourite characters like Nick Valentine and the Vault Boy himself, a whole new map ... Bethesda Softworks, to give them their proper name, has some pretty iconic intellectual property at their disposal. Wouldn't it be nice if we could somehow experience some of that in a new way? Well, we can, thanks to Bethesda Pinball, a collaboration between the publishing giant and Zen Studios, developer of Pinball FX2. On paper, bringing DOOM, Fallout and Skyrim to the pinball table is a masterstroke - it's hard to think of three more visually distinct and arresting games of the last few years, and Zen Studios has a remarkable track record in delivering fun, playable and astonishingly good looking ... Nuka World is the sixth and final DLC for Fallout 4, but is it the one people have been waiting for? This time around, you are whisked from the wasteland to enjoy your summer holidays at the Nuka World theme park. Sorry, did we say enjoy? Well, maybe not quite. The once beautiful and exciting theme park is now just a shell of its former self, filled with rusty rides, psychotic raiders and, of course, the company Mascots. This won't be your usual relaxing breakaway. Once you arrive you are faced with the challenging 'Gauntlet' - and you'll need to survive before ... Read More »
One of the most anticipated downloads for Fallout 4, the Nuka-World expansion will take you to a lawless amusement park riddled with raiders, where you’ll explore all-new areas and take over settlements. These areas include Safari Adventure, Dry Rock Gulch, Kiddie Kingdom, and the Galactic Zone. We knew the add-on as going to drop on Tuesday, 30th August for those in Europe (North America gets it a day earlier) – and now we know precisely when to expect Nuka-World’s doors to open. The game’s official Twitter feed announced – to the minute – what time each part of the world ... Read More »
Bethesda were always going to follow up their mainline Fallout entry – it’s just a question of how? Now, a trademark registered with the European Intellectual Property Office has given us a possible clue as to the location. Check it out here. It’s by no means a definite confirmation that the next setting will be Mardi Gras city, although it’s worth noting that Obsidian followed up Bethesda’s magisterial Fallout 3 with Fallout New Vegas just two years after the original’s release. Fallout 4 was released in 2015, so… While information beyond the initial trademark is scant, New Orleans would certainly ... Read More »
Earlier today we reported on the announcement that Bethesda were bringing bring Mods to Fallout 4. This will be the 1st time a console game has had PC generated mods included as part of the options list but probably not the last. As a new trend of modding console games seems to be emerging. This new mod list will be available in game for you to scroll through and select what ever takes your fancy, and once installed these 'extras' will add a whole new aspect to your Fallout 4 experience. From new weapons, buildings and armor, to all new types of ... There's a definite case to be made that previous installments for Bethesda's Fallout 4 - Automatron and Wasteland Workshop - were merely filler: while Fallout 3 had great expansions that significantly expanded the story, the lore and the world, Fallout 4 is bereft in comparison. Until now - certainly in terms of scale - that is. Fallout 4: Far Harbor, the third expansion of Bethesda's latest tale of wasteland woe, introduces (so they tell us) the largest landmass ever to grace a Bethesda expansion, so there's plenty of bang for your buck here. If you want to dive straight in to the island of Far ... Read More »
