Here’s a sobering thought for you all: the Doomsday Clock currently sits at 3 minutes to midnight, and it doesn’t look like we’ll be turning back time in the near future. If it’s not the tension regarding Syria, nuclear weapons testing in North Korea or unchecked climate change that’ll do us in, it’ll be the frigging killer clowns. Seriously, what the hell world?! But, if the world is going to end, what form will it take? Will humanity live on post-reckoning? How will we get our jollies in an apocalyptic wasteland? Here are 6 games on Xbox One that show … Read More »

Nuka World is the sixth and final DLC for Fallout 4, but is it the one people have been waiting for? This time around, you are whisked from the wasteland to enjoy your summer holidays at the Nuka World theme park. Sorry, did we say enjoy? Well, maybe not quite. The once beautiful and exciting theme park is now just a shell of its former self, filled with rusty rides, psychotic raiders and, of course, the company Mascots. This won’t be your usual relaxing breakaway. Once you arrive you are faced with the challenging ‘Gauntlet’ – and you’ll need to survive before … Read More »

One of the most anticipated downloads for Fallout 4, the Nuka-World expansion will take you to a lawless amusement park riddled with raiders, where you’ll explore all-new areas and take over settlements. These areas include Safari Adventure, Dry Rock Gulch, Kiddie Kingdom, and the Galactic Zone. We knew the add-on as going to drop on Tuesday, 30th August for those in Europe (North America gets it a day earlier) – and now we know precisely when to expect Nuka-World’s doors to open. The game’s official Twitter feed announced – to the minute – what time each part of the world … Read More »

Bethesda were always going to follow up their mainline Fallout entry – it’s just a question of how? Now, a trademark registered with the European Intellectual Property Office has given us a possible clue as to the location. Check it out here. It’s by no means a definite confirmation that the next setting will be Mardi Gras city, although it’s worth noting that Obsidian followed up Bethesda’s magisterial Fallout 3 with Fallout New Vegas just two years after the original’s release. Fallout 4 was released in 2015, so… While information beyond the initial trademark is scant, New Orleans would certainly … Read More »

Earlier today we reported on the announcement that Bethesda were bringing bring Mods to Fallout 4. This will be the 1st time a console game has had PC generated mods included as part of the options list but probably not the last. As a new trend of modding console games seems to be emerging. This new mod list will be available in game for you to scroll through and select what ever takes your fancy, and once installed these ‘extras’ will add a whole new aspect to your Fallout 4 experience. From new weapons, buildings and armor, to all new types of … Read More »

There’s a definite case to be made that previous installments for Bethesda’s Fallout 4 – Automatron and Wasteland Workshop – were merely filler: while Fallout 3 had great expansions that significantly expanded the story, the lore and the world, Fallout 4 is bereft in comparison. Until now – certainly in terms of scale – that is. Fallout 4: Far Harbor, the third expansion of Bethesda’s latest tale of wasteland woe, introduces (so they tell us) the largest landmass ever to grace a Bethesda expansion, so there’s plenty of bang for your buck here. If you want to dive straight in to the island of Far … Read More »

If your happen to be PC gamer as well as an Xbox fan, you will probably already be very familiar with the size of the modding community and modding in general. Think of a game that’s out there and there’s probably a mod out there for it. Well now this aspect of community sourced fun is coming to Xbox One thanks to Bethesda and Fallout 4. Major Nelson and Bethesda just have announced that Fallout 4 will soon have a function added to it that will allow you to modify your game. So what are mods and why are they important? … Read More »

Bethesda Softworks have just released their trailer for the next Fallout 4 DLC – Far Harbor. As a Fallout fan I’m looking forward to it. Unlike the previous DLC, this is a full blown expansion to the already large Fallout world. In Far Harbor, a new case from Valentine’s Detective Agency leads you on a search for a young woman and a secret colony of synths. Travel off the coast of Maine to the mysterious island of Far Harbor, where higher levels of radiation have created a more feral world. Navigate through the growing conflict between the synths, the Children … Read More »

Fallout 4‘s latest DLC Wasteland Workshop – following on from last month’s Automatron – is a lightweight add-on which offers little more than a few neat toys with which to play. The cages and traps on offer can turn your settlement into a nightmarish cross between the worst kind of zoo and a gladiatorial arena. Meanwhile, you can spruce the place up a bit with a few cosmetic enhancements. Oh, and taxidermy. And that’s it – this £3.99 add on doesn’t offer any significant new content, no new characters and no new missions – unlike Automatron which although small in scale at … Read More »
