Cars 3: Driven To Win Review

Disney movie titles were once littered across stores with every new film in the 90’s. Fast forward two decades and not only has the industry moved on to more ‘mature game experiences’, but also side stepped away from that guaranteed movie to game tie-ins. However, the Cars franchise which is now in its third iteration, has stuck with us with a game for each film. And that brings us to the latest title – Cars 3: Driven To Win. An ageing Lightning McQueen is under threat from a new generation of super racer rookies. Particularly the arrogant and boastful Jackson … Read More »

The Disney Afternoon Collection Review

In the late 80’s and early 90’s, platformers were the bread and butter of gaming. Disney especially, had a great showing through the 8-Bit era. TRON RUN/r Review

Disney’s TRON RUN/r is the latest action adventure runner to sprint onto console – a subtype of the endless runner genre that’s prevalent on mobile and handheld platforms. If you are familiar with the films or even the cartoon series you’ll immediately get the visual aesthetic here and it’s an endless runner, so you’ll have a good idea of what to expect. Run or (light) cycle from A to B (don’t worry, there’s no pedaling here though). That’s pretty much it, review over, good job everybody. Well, not quite, there’s a lot more to it than that. Endless runners work well on phones and tablets – the perfect … Read More »
