It has been a little while since we have heard anything from the guys at Deep Silver about Dead Island 2 and the most recent news that we have had hasn't been particularly encouraging. |The original development team were kicked off the project and were then replaced by Sumo Digital. Since then we have been more likely to see tumbleweed than hear anything about Dead Island 2. Well that seems to have changed a little bit now. Koch Media CEO Klemens Kundratitz has been talking about the franchise and he sounds more positive than many about where it lies now ... Read More »
There hasn't been a lot of noise coming from the Volition Studios recently. But don't take their silence to mean they've been idle, sitting on the laurels of their success with the last Saints Row game. Far from it in fact. Volition have now announced their next project, a quirky open world game that goes by the name Agents of Mayhem. Now you may think that you know what to expect from the developer that brought us the Saints Row series and in a way you'd be right. But there are a lot of differences as well. There is the ... Remember Dead Island 2? It is still in development, but there is still no set release date.  This title was originally going to be developed by Techland, but the tensions between Techland and Deep Silver kept that from happening. Yager Productions (known for Spec Ops: The Line and upcoming Dreadnought) were the next in line to work on Dead Island 2. That partnership lasted a short while, since in 2015 Deep Silver announced that it was taking Dead Island 2 away from Yager. Apparently there was a difference in vision between both companies. Today it was announced that Sumo Digital ... Read More »
Who likes re-releases? Despite your opinions on them, it looks like they're here to stay, as Deep Silver have just announced that the Dead Island: Definitive Collection will be coming to Xbox One. Arriving on the 31st May 2016, the Definitive Collection will contain both Dead Island and semi-sequel Dead Island: Riptide, and all subsequent DLC that came out. Also included is Dead Island: Retro Revenge, a new 16-bit styled "endless runner", according to developers. However, glaring omissions here do include the spin-off title Escape Dead Island, and any sort of news regarding Dead Island 2, which lost its developer ... Read More »

War is hell, a great man once said. This isn't just true for soldiers but for civilians as well. We are used to games that focus on the plights of soldiers but rarely are we given the task of going through the struggles of war from a civilians perspective.
