Just when we thought that Microsoft had forgotten all about Crackdown 3, they’ve confirmed that the game is due ‘holiday 2017 or earlier.’ That’s the buzz from Dave Johnson, art director at Microsoft Studios, who confirmed the intended release date during an Extra Life livestream. Not only that, but Johnson also mentioned that Crackdown 3 will run 4K resolution on the upcoming Project Scorpio. Crackdown 3 was announced at E3 in 2014, and from that point we haven’t really heard much about it. The dry spell of news regarding the game appears to be over, however, as an update to the Crackdown website has now revealed that Crackdown 3 will be coming to both Windows 10 and Xbox One in 2017 as an Xbox Play Anywhere title.
