A new Xbox controller has leaked online ahead of E3 2018, it is designed for people with accessibility considerations. A Twitter user named h0x0d found the supposed new controller, check it out below.   Not to forget Microsoft insider Jez Corden of WindowsCentral said that the controller is aimed at delivering a better Xbox experience for players with “accessibility needs.” Right now there is no official word on how this new controller actually works, just a guess the two large black discs could be programmed and mapped to certain buttons. WindowsCentral says the controller should be officially announced between now and E3 2018.   If you … Read More »

If you’re anything like us here at Xbox One UK HQ then you’ll love custom controllers, particularly when they offer something a little different. Hopefully, you’ll agree with us that this latest one from Microsoft looks like a good’un. Sea of Thieves isn’t out yet but is available for pre-order it. However, the limited edition controller has already been launched and we think it’s pretty awesome. It’s a translucent purple design with ‘laser etched barnacles’ for grip, with a golden right trigger (hidden pirate treasure), and the left control stick is in the form of a compass and a glow in the dark … Read More »

The modern gamer is presented with a lot of options when it comes to controllers. Console developers themselves are offering up a greater variety of controllers such as Xbox’s Lunar White, Dawn Shadow, Dusk Shadow and of course their immensely popular Elite controller. With Microsoft themselves flooding the market with great controllers it’s forced third party controller producers and modifiers to really up their game. That’s exactly what the good folks at Controller Modz have done. Not content with simply producing custom designs for controllers, Controller Modz have gone one step further by integrating a number of unique features right … Read More »

On Twitter today, Major Nelson announced that 2 new controller designs are going to be available next week.  The designs are called Ocean Shadow Special Edition and Winter Forces Special Edition.  Blue Ocean is the same color styling of the pink Dusk Shadow controller with the pink being replaced by a sea style mix of blue and green.  Winter Forces has a blend of jagged shapes in a camo-like style of grays and white.  See for yourself in the tweet below: Xbox Wireless Controller getting 2 new color options – Ocean Shadow Special Edition & Winter Forces Special Edition https://t.co/wiVfiLRdlb … Read More »

War. What is it good for? Video games, apparently. And when these EA stablemates somewhat controversially went head to head in a crowded autumn release window, they were both winners. Critically, Titanfall 2 has the edge, but it was close. Less close has been the battle for sales, where by all accounts Titanfall 2 took an undeserved beating from Battlefield 1. So this battle of the controllers takes on a little extra frisson – who will win in this rematch? Actually, that’s a bit misleading. Both the PDP Official Battlefield 1 and Titanfall 2 Wired Controllers are functionally identical – … Read More »

The time has come and gone thankfully when we had to keep buying new batteries for our controllers – we recently tested one charging solution from Venom – the Venom Rechargeable Battery Twin Pack – which offered charging while you play, thanks to Venom’s rechargeable battery pack and USB cable. The Twin Docking Station takes a different approach. Rather than charging on the fly the Docking Station charges your controllers while you’re not using them. And it does so pretty rapidly, too. Once you’ve inserted the Venom battery pack, which replaces both the batteries and the battery hatch cover on your … Read More »

It’s not often that you’ll stumble across third party hardware products that have been officially licensed by Xbox, with the traditional green Xbox One banner emblazoned on the packaging, but the Horipad Pro For Xbox One is one such controller. As such you’d expect that this product would be of the highest quality, and live up to the high quality standards that Microsoft themselves set for their gaming accessories. Unfortunately, first impressions of the Horipad Pro are not exactly stellar ones. The initial unboxing is when the trepidation first sets in. The controller is extremely light; in fact, if you are an Xbox One … Read More »
