It’s easy to forget sometimes, games we all loved in the past. The industry is awash with endless sequels. Guaranteed releases year in year out (we’re looking at you Call of Duty and endless sports games). It won’t be long before we find out what Microsoft’s brewing up for December’s Games with Gold – in fact, it seems to get early every month. I play games to have fun. I'm generally not very good - frequently I'm awful - and I generally avoid the most toxic communities  because being sworn at isn't much fun. I'll stay out of the super-competitive modes unless I'm playing with friends, because I know that's not fair on the randoms with whom I'm paired. But why are so many video game communities - and their members - so toxic? After all, these are just games. Dying Light developer Techland announced yesterday they will be releasing select community maps for the upcoming expansion Dying Light: The Following on consoles. “We said on many different occasions how much we enjoy playing maps created by our fans, but now the time has come to show it.” - summarizes Michał Napora, community manager. - “There’s so much variety and ingenuity in there, even more so since we added co-op and PvP support.
