The latest charts have been published by Chart-Track and a new entrant has taken the top spot. It's no surprise the Halo Wars 2 has taken the crown, delivering a blow to For Honor which falls back to second. Other impressive showings come from Forza Horizon 3, which moves up to third and the immortal GTA V still selling strong. The chart does not represent digital sales so it could be assumed Rocket League, in seventh, actually had a greater growth after it's free play weekend and time on sale digitally. Resident Evil VII however, drops out of the top ... Read More »
GTA V is very rarely out of the top ten in the charts – but for the tenth time since its release, it’s hit the number one spot. According to GfK Chart Track, in the All Formats chart, Rockstar’s anarchic open-world actioner beat out, well, pretty much everything from Battlefield 1 to FIFA 17. It even managed to unseat reigning supremo Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Make of that what you will. Everything else in the charts was unsurprising, except, perhaps, Gears of War 4 holding its own against its multi-platform rivals. What’s more concerning is the total lack of ... Read More »
Futuristic FPS Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare has topped the UK charts to become the number one game sold before Christmas. Whatever you think about the game, it goes to show that the Call of Duty brand is still a strong and powerful player in the games market – and it’s a no-brainer that it was going to be number one for the holiday season, when you combine that power with cheap deals. Good news, too, for that perennial of the charts, GTAV, which crept past the 6 million mark for UK sales. As usual, it still features in both ... Read More »
After three weeks clinging to the top spot, the latest instalment of Call of Duty is no longer number one in the UK’s all formats chart. Publisher Activision won’t be happy with the news that their much-maligned Call of Duty isn’t hitting the record highs of previous instalments. Infinity Ward’s latest shooter dropped down to number two, despite generous Black Friday deals – while EA’s Fifa 17 nabbed the gold this week. Not a bad week for EA overall, as it goes, with their military shooter Battlefield 1 still showing strong sales almost a month after release. Their other FPS, ... Read More »
The latest all format charts have today been released, which has seen a very respectable entry for Watch Dogs 2, at number two. But so far, Dedsec have failed to infiltrate the number one position. Holding top spot, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare continues to dominate in sales. Mostly no doubt down to the legacy edition which features a remaster of Modern Warfare. A large number of pre Black Friday discounts could also have helped the next installment in the franchise retain top position. A respectable entry for Assassins Creed: The Ezio Collection, which only released on Friday, enters at ... Read More »

Stay frosty. Turns out the remastered Call of Duty: Modern Warfare shoots all over the competition, becoming the most played instalment at the moment. According to Game Revolution, ‘Infinite Warfare ranks at the #4 spot, as opposed to Call of Duty's usual #1 placing during launch month. As far as what's outperforming it, interestingly enough, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered sits at the #2 spot.’ It was never going to be a contest, was it? Packaging Modern Warfare with the latest Call of Duty was always going to be like giving away free cheeseburgers when you buy a stick ... Read More »
