If modern gaming has revealed anything, it’s that a game doesn’t need to be out before we start talking about the DLC. Dead Rising 4 appears to be no exception, with the Season Pass now available pre-order as part of the Deluxe Edition of the game. The list includes 3 DLC packs, though whether there’ll be more remains to be seen. The first, and seemingly least significant bit of DLC is the Stocking Stuffer Holiday Pack, which includes a range of festive themed weapons, zombies, vehicles and costumes. The second pack is perhaps the strangest pack, known as Super Ultra … Read More »

Are you getting chills yet? Capcom certainly hope so, with their drip-feed of Resident Evil 7 teasers and trailers. And they’ve just released teaser vol. 2, ‘Shotgun in a Box’. This time, it’s focused on weapons and ammunition – or more accurately, the lack of them. There’s a damn good reason why the video’s single description reads: ‘Save your ammo… You’ll need it.’ The game’s graphics look absolutely gorgeous, consider it’s a horrifically dingy room we’re in. But perhaps more importantly for old-school fans, it’s nice to see the return of the traditional inventory box – along with the limited … Read More »

Two minutes after booting up Dead Rising 1 for the first time in years, and the wave of nostalgia is flowing through me like the blood that courses through my veins. Before the pilot can even start his lines, I’m talking to my TV about Willamette, Colorado having a population of 53,594 and that the only thing to do in that town is kill time at the shopping mall. After about an hour, all the old tips and tricks are coming back. The hidden katana and uzi in the Paradise Plaza, the extra PP to be gained from destroying the plates … Read More »

According to Capcom, Resident Evil 7 will be enhanced with HDR support on Xbox One S. According to Capcom, “with HDR support on the Xbox One S, players can enjoy game-play in Full HD that offers realism that can almost be felt.” HDR offers a wider choice of colours and a greater contrast ratio. HDR is best used in situations where you have very bright and very dark areas in the same frame, like a candle in a dark room, and so should help give more depth to the image with more detail to the dark areas. Resident Evil 7 … Read More »

Shopping’s a nightmare isn’t it? The crowds, the expense, the trawling from shop to shop, this is a true scene from hell and should send a shiver down any sane persons spine. Well things could always be worse. You could be Frank West for instance. On a photography trip to the mall he see’s that all hell has broken loose and there appears to be zombies everywhere. And there is definitely a crowd. Capcom have released a new trailer for Dead Rising 4 called Return To The Mall. In it we get to see when Frank starts to realise that … Read More »

Can someone please explain to me what the hell is going on with Resident Evil 7? How does a family of yokels link back to the Umbrella Corporation, because you know it well eventually… Answers on a postcard please, the most original theory will win an official Xbox One UK No-Prize! Seriously though, Resident Evil 7 looks to be the scariest and most atmospheric that series has been for a long time, and most of that appears to be because of the weird, possibly incest, possibly possessed zombie family we now know as The Bakers. Consisting of Jack, Marguerite and … Read More »

Resident Evil 4 is like the Citizen Kane of games – it’ll always be near the top of those ‘Best Games Ever’ lists. We last played it on the GameCube 11 years ago, but after all this time, does the game deserve the praise it gets? So some backstory, for those not in the know. You play as Leon S. Kennedy – rookie cop star of Resident Evil 2, who not only survived Raccoon City’s zombie outbreak, but is also tragically afflicted with a centre parting and a bad case of the too-cool-for-school attitude that define Japanese gaming heroes. You … Read More »

For those waiting to get their hands on the remastered edition of Skyrim and the sort-of remake Dead Rising 4, you can now pre-order both games from the Xbox store. According to Major Nelson, Xbox’s Community Manager, not only can you now be first in line to get the games, you’ll also be able to pre-download the game in anticipation of the games’ releases. Dead Rising 4 Bundle is now available for Digital Pre-order and Pre-download on Xbox One https://t.co/EHtciWylQw pic.twitter.com/lwlMBAneqJ — Larry Hryb (@majornelson) August 15, 2016 Skyrim Special Edition is now available for Digital Pre-order & Pre-download on … Read More »

Zombie Christmas is coming early this year, as you can now pre-download the Dead Rising Triple Pack so it’s ready to play come September 13th. The Triple Pack includes Dead Rising, Dead Rising 2 and its spin-off Off The Record, along with all the available costume DLC that accompanied each game. What’s interesting, however, is the absence of Dead Rising 2’s side stories: Case Zero and Case West. Capcom haven’t said why they haven’t been included, but it is worthy of note, especially considering how important they are to the overall story of the series. Yeah, it’s more than just … Read More »
