The seventh iteration in the main Resident Evil franchise is due to hit the shelves next week. And with the imminent arrival, Capcom have spoken out about their plans outside of the paid season pass. According to the current issue of Famitsu, the publisher has promised a free ‘short story’ DLC to be released in Spring 2017. Details are currently vague to say the least. About all we know aside from the release window, is that it will be titled ‘Not a Hero’. However what we do know is that it will be somewhat different from the main story known as … Read More »

It’s a little over a week to wait before the general public can grab their living or dead hands on a copy of Capcom’s highly anticipated Resident Evil VII, promising a ‘back-to-roots’ experience with horror and puzzles. As is usually the case when titles draw closer to release, review copies are handed out and unfortunately, some show lack of respect for the developers and/or publishers by releasing information, and more importantly spoilers, over the internet. The latter has hit the net by storm, with plenty of streams and videos uploaded that spoil the ending(s) amongst other things. Of course, here … Read More »

Remember back in 2015 when Capcom announced that there will be a current gen remake of Resident Evil 2?  Well, we are about to hit 2017 and Resident Evil 7 is set to release next month and we know nothing new about the classic remake.  Capcom and RE2: Remake’s producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi may have tipped his hand a bit on when we will see something of the upcoming remake. In an interview with VideoGamer, Hirabayashi spoke about the experiences he learned from the previous games and how Capcom is focused on RE7 while his team is working on the remake of RE2. … Read More »

Fair warning though what the file name pertains to could be seen as a potential spoiler, if you don’t want to know any more then just stare at this image of the Resident Evil 7 collector’s edition, which is … Read More »

Fresh off the back of the upcoming Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, the Japanese publisher has confirmed that this is just the beginning. It’s been five years since the last MvC game – and, we presume, it won’t be the last (superheroes are totes hot right now), but in a press release announcing their latest fighter, Capcom also hinted at their future plans, stating that: In addition to regular major title releases each fiscal year, Capcom is currently focused on reviving series that have not had new entries recently, or otherwise dormant IP. Beginning with MARVEL VS. CAPCOM: INFINITE, a return … Read More »

For fans of comedic, zombie slaying, romps there aren’t many better game franchises than Dead Rising. The series has looked up everything required to make a serious, dark and dramatic zombie thriller (which developers Capcom know a little something about) and gone in completely the opposite direction. This zany approach often carries over into the advertising campaign for Dead Rising titles, and the launch trailer for Dead Rising 4 is no exception: Fitting this trailer should come at the start of December as it features Dead Rising icon Frank West narrate his story of zombie slaying glee in the style … Read More »
